Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ together with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 earlier this September. It’s a device designed for entertainment and productivity given its hi-res display, flagship chip, and inclusion of an S-Pen. We got our hands on one so check out our initial thoughts below.
The Galaxy Tab S7+ has a 12.4-inch Super AMOLED WQXGA+ display that delivers vivid colors and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, making it a great device for watching videos. Using the tablet in bright locations wasn’t a problem as it had good brightness adjustment. Surrounding the screen are relatively thin bezels where the 8MP front camera sits nicely up top at the center.
At the back, you’ll find the 13MP main and 5MP ultra-wide cameras on the upper left corner together with the magnetic holder which holds and charges the S Pen. The S Pen has low latency which makes it feel as if you’re writing with an actual pen and paper. It even recognizes bad handwriting easily and works great for drawings as well. Beside the basic functions of the S Pen, it also lets you do Air Actions that are helpful with navigating through the tablet with ease. The only downside with it is that it has to charge at the back of the tab which is quite scary because it can get easily misplaced.
The tablet has a brushed unibody that is large but ultimately thin and relatively easy to take around. The unit that we got was in Mystic Black which makes it look sleek although it tends to get a lot of fingerprints around the unit. The device is huge, using it with one hand while holding the unit can be a bit tiring but, utilizing both hands doesn’t seem that it’s that much of a daunting task.
Located at the top edge of the tablet are the SIM tray and, lock/power button, and the volume buttons.
On the right, you’ll find the USB Type-C where you can charge the 10,090mAh battery which has a 45W Super Fast Charging feature. You get to enjoy superb audio with the Galaxy Tab S7+ as it has 2 speakers on each side which can further be enhanced with the Dolby Atmos feature.
The Galaxy Tab S7+ runs on OneUI 2 (Android 10) and powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ together with 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage which you can expand with a micoSD card. Whether it’s for streaming videos, browsing social media, playing games, or even for work, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ is definitely a good choice for you to pick.
