As previously reported, ECS has unveiled details of their Simply Smart ECS G10IL and boy, does it have a whooping 7.2 Mbps HSDPA built-in with it.
The UMPC will come in two display sizes — 8.9″ and 10.2 inches. No specific CPU specs but it will be an Intel Diamondville chip (which starts at 1.6GHz with 512MB L2 cache).
There’s only 1 slot of memory but can support up to 2GB RAM. Options for SSD or HDD storage, WiFi, Ethernet, analog modem, 3 USB ports, card reader runnign 4-cell or 6-cell batteries, depending on which model.
I really hope that the use of the UMPC class of computers will grow here in the Philippines. That’s the only way for these things to have lower tagged prices…
Looks good. I’m really looking forward to this. It’s said to run on the new Intel Atom chips. I’m guessing its probably around Php 25,000 for the base model… Release date anyone? I’ll probably get one when it comes out. There’s also the MSI Wind, very similar to this one.
Now the war on Ultra Portable PCs has began expect the price to go down I guess.
Regardless of the tag price, it seems better than Eee PC since it can run XP.
Yes magkano ba? to…. ummmm mura lang ba?
hard sell, hard sell, hard sell….
Pretty interesting. What’s the price tag on it?
Perhaps this will have a chance since the Eee PC 900 has recieved mixed reactions.
