I purchased an Xperia Z1 in November, which was just released in September. Instead of focusing on software updates to secure customer loyalty (not to have the feeling of neglect), they just opted to release new hardwares!
I swear to the heavens above that I will never, ever, ever, ever buy any Sony phones, ever!
This stupid phone is still running Android 4.3 when my wife’s already dated Samsung S4 is already on 4.4.2!!!
NickTalo says:
First world problems…tsk…tsk…
NickT says:
To each his own, ika nga.
Nick Frost – how about galaxy note 3?
neko says:
can’t believe you bought the z1 despite all the negative things said about it. guess that’s what being an irrational fan brings you.
obvious naman ang display inferior. ayon sa reviews and 3000mah does not deliver what’s expected of it.
lg g2 was way better and even cheaper. the z1 camera advantage is very minimal.
kulang lang sa research.
NickT says:
Big mistake!
Ok, not to be totally unfair to Sony, mabilis yun processor nya na Snapdragon 800 at maganda yun feel ng phone. Very sturdy.
Battery not that good. Madaling magasgas yun screen.
NickT says:
Neko – by the way, you shouldn’t irrationally call someone you don’t know an irrational fan just because they purchased something you don’t like.
Critic says:
If you’re that conscious in always getting the latest software update
s, the nexus line would have been your best choice. Otherwise, you’ll be tied up with the software update waiting game from each manufacturers every time there’s a new release. Don’t stop enjoying phone, it is still a great device. :)
MrPhabletBulacan says:
Masyado sir matindi expectations mo. Pinakaminam ay be thankful dahil you have a nice phone that most of us cannot afford. Sony at least kahit once or twice meron within 2 years of the launch of the device. At sinusubukan pa nila sumabay ngayon sa iba tulad ng samsung on time na ang OS version sa release ng phone.
Paul says:
Do you really want to upgrade to 4.4?
Charles says:
The updates rarely make anything groundbreaking. Don’t expect too much. Sony regularly delivers updates OTA.
And if you’ve actually read about Sony, they release flagships Biannually. I think you know what that means.
Nick Frost says:
Aqua says:
Is the T2 ultra single or dual sim?
MrPhabletBulacan says:
18999 is SRP for the single sim LTE model. Wala pa announcement ng price para sa dual sim version (rumor is dual sim version is 3g only).
Sa panahon ngayon, dont trust the spec sheet or the expert reviews that much. Mas kapanipaniwala ang user reviews. Also find some time to play with the demo unit first. And avoid blaming anyone for actions you made yourselves
MrPhabletBulacan says:
Nothing is actually launched, this more like ANNOUNCED.
Please enlighten me!
MrPhabletBulacan says:
This gives false hopes for people waiting for the other phone models. Dapat “Sony launches the xperia e1, also announces upcoming new phones, tablet & smartband (z2,m2,t2ultra,z1compact,z2tablet,smartband.”
Launch = Available
Phablet says:
I think you should check the definition of Launch and Available in the dictionary.
akoparinito says:
English definition of “product launch”
product launch
noun [C] MARKETING, COMMERCE
› the process of introducing a new product for sale for the first time and attracting people’s attention to it:
An important aspect of managing a product launch is tracking early sales.
a product launch plan/strategy
› the time when a new product is introduced for sale the first time, or an event arranged to attract attention to this:
We will advertise on TV for a month before the product launch.
500 guests attended the product launch.
Gawin ba ako bobo maryosep! Ayan dictionary na mismo nagsabi LAUNCH = Pwede na bumili. Cocomment comment pa sablay din naman…
AkiMe says:
(e.g. Launch date is March; Release date is on April) n_n
Critic says:
I think they use “release” for the actual availability of the device and “launch” for the introduction only. The caveat for the “release” is there’s a different local and foreign release dates. So don’t be surprised if you’ll be misinformed as well with articles that pertains to a foreign release instead of local release :).
But wait there’s more. The best part is when they use the word “official” and associate it with a “rumor” info. #chaos
