Sony gives Vaio P the pinky treatment

Since Sony first introduced the Vaio P pocket PC, it has undergone several facelifts. The latest model even has more eye-candy to it, with colors in bright pink and deep orange.

We saw the orange model last June and we got this pink review unit a week ago. The upgrade includes the SSD and a CPU upgrade as well as the additional optical trackpad and clickers at the base of the LED screen.

Sony Vaio P115
8″ display @ 1600×768 pixels
Intel Atom Z540 1.86GHz
2GB DDR2 RAM
64GB Sandisk SDD
Intel GMA 500
WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth 2.1 w/ EDR
2 x USB 2.0 ports
Memory Stick Duo/SD Card reader
0.3MP webcam

I bought the black unit over a year ago but have not been using it a lot lately due to the short battery life. However, it seems the new model (P115) has improved and been seeing between 3 to 4 hours battery life on a single charge.

Surprisingly, Sony sold out all of the previous Vaio P (although I hear it was just on a limited release). The newer ones sell for Php59,999USD 1,022INR 86,675EUR 974CNY 7,446.

  1. Lovely in pink. If it were not for the VAIO logo, you could mistake it for a purse.

More gadgets to come especially now that the Christmas season is drawing near.

  2. Wow, my friend will love it. She loves pink things and currently looking for a pocket pc.

  3. maliit, madaling dukutin, ingat lang diyan

  4. Mukhang mahirap magbrowse dito. Walang trackpad. Mas pipiliin ko yung netbook ng ibang brands.

  5. wow too expensive for P59k! i would not trade my ideapad s10-3t for this.

  6. Looks like a purse with a vaio logo…But my my gf doesn’t like it as much as my black vaio p…sayang terno sana kami…only problem.. It’s hard to find a case for it… My vaio p uses a ’10 neoprene…the leather case cost more than the battery… Hehehe…

  7. I think the sony pink vaio is the best girly laptop. In fact, manufacturing the pink Vaio is the best idea that Sony has ever made since it started selling electronics. Pink is a color universal to all women of all ages. It’s no surprise that it’s such a best seller among women. – Tanya Bayo

  8. I’ve been in the same situation before. It’s not as easy an answer as you think it may be though, its something that you will need to sit down and work out for yourself over over some time.
