Samsung revamps its 850 Series solid-state drive by introducing the 2-terabyte variant of Samsung 850 Pro and Samsung 850 EVO SSDs.
Despite the added storage space, Samsung was able to maintain the drive’s 7mm, 2.5-inch form factor. These high-capacity drives make use of 128GB 3D V-NAND (Vertical NAND) flash chips, 128 of it to be exact, which are all controlled by a new MHX controller.
Furthermore, both the 850 Pro and 850 EVO 2TB SSDs are equipped with four (4) 4GB LPDRR3 DRAM which are based on 20-nanometer manufacturing process.

The South Korean company guarantees that the 2TB Samsung 850 Pro will last for 10 years or 300 terabytes written (TBW). Meanwhile, the 2TB Samsung 850 EVO should be good for at least 5 years or 150 TBW.
