Xiaomi Pad 7 Review
Samsung Electronics has unveiled today the industry’s first removable memory cards based on the JEDEC Universal Flash Storage (UFS) 1.0 Card Extension Standard, aimed at high-resolution mobile shooting devices such as DSLRs, 3D VR cameras, action cams and drones.
The Samsung UFS cards come in 32, 64, 128, and 256GB capacities. Compared to microSD cards, it has five times faster read speeds at 530MB/s, and almost two times faster write speeds at 170MB/s.
According to Samsung, UFS cards allows consumers to read a 5GB, Full-HD movie in approximately 10 seconds, or shoot 24 large/extra fine JPEGs continuously with a high-end DSLR camera in less than seven seconds.
Pricing and store availability are yet to be announced.
