Western Digital has unveiled at CES 2018 its latest storage solutions and one of them is the world’s smallest 1TB USB-C OTG Flash Drive from SanDisk.
Before you get excited, the SanDisk 1TB USB-C Flash Drive is just a prototype but it shows how the company sees the future of portable storage. Soon you will be able to store a huge collection of videos, photos, music, and files in a flash drive with a capacity that is usually found in portable HDDs. And since it’s using a USB Type-C interface, you can use it as an OTG drive for your smartphone.
If you’re looking for something that you can buy, you can go with the SanDisk Ultra Fit USB 3.1 Flash Drive with up to 256GB capacity. It’s a low-profile, compact, USB drive but with fast read speeds of up to 130 MB/s. It comes with SanDisk SecureAccess Software and RescuePro Deluxe File Recovery Software.
Price starts at $21.99 for the 16GB, up to $149.99 for the 256GB. Availability is yet to be announced.
