Fujifilm is developing a prototype digital camera that has two lenses and able to capture a 3D image, according to this feature at Time.com.
This 10 megapixel camera takes two images using the two lenses built in to the camera. That way, it is able to perceive and develop a 3D image (much like the human eye). Of course, it will also come with a special 3D printing service from Fujifilm.
This should be out before end of the year for $600 pop.
3D lens for an SLR is nothing new. During film days, it already has one. There is just a modification for digital SLRs with cropping factor. Check this site ==> http://www.loreo.com
Can NOT view on PC screen only on Fugi’s 8″ viewer. Can not share since can not email or even post to facebook etc. Like I can now share (see above web site) pix of Max Cat taken with my own pocket digicam using the photo3-d.com kit. Two lenses is great for ‘movables’ like people/animals etc. but Fuji’s limit to viewing exclusively on their 8″ screen is a deal breaker for me.
It wont be called DSLR if it has 2 lenses! it would be DDLR and not Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) cam.
The images will be like those animated photographs in Harry Potter! Hahaha!
wow.. parang hindi ko yata ma imagine yan a.. cguro kapag gnalaw mo ung pic sideways gagalaw rn ung image na nka print parang hologram? hmmmmm cool pg ganun. hehehehe
$600 dollars! hay. in my dreams. hehehe.

yeah… fuji is trying to create a whole new market.. since the megapixel thingy is already saturated with thousands of cameras.. imagine an SLR with two lens? :)

That w0uld be a l0t of mem0ry per sh0t.

awesome .. its so cool. but no one can beats dslr camera!
after MEGApixels war in cameras.. this 3D thing might be the next turf!
Thing is, 3D prints would probably be expensive. Plus, the novelty would wear off after some time.
FIRST!!! wow cool eh? this could open a new market. Double lens DSLR !
