Next to taking selfies, food photos could perhaps be the second most frequently taken shots by your average Filipino smartphone user.
How else can we share our stories of gastronomic adventures without the mouth-watering shots taken with our favorite smartphone?
Using the Infinix ZERO 30 5G, we went on a food crawl to check out a few of the more Instagrammable foods you should try at least once.
Table of Contents
The Farmery
At the heart of Alabang in Muntinlupa City is a sprawling food district called Molito Commercial Complex. Here, you will find one of our favorite food stops – The Farmery.
For starters, try out the Caesar Salad with Crispy Chicken with its large serving that is good enough to share with 2 or 3 people.
Follow that up with a single serving of their signature Carbonara with a side of toasted bread and a generous sprinkle of crispy bacon bits. Who doesn’t love more bacon?
For the main course, try one of their many choices of steak and rice meals. We especially loved this hearty portion of “Ribeye Love You” with that tender cut of meat sliced to bite-sizes, seasoned well to perfection, and seared enough to show the grill marks.
Single Origin
After a late lunch, we headed off to Single Origin just across the street, still in Molito. This is one of our go-to places for dessert and drinks around the area.
Try this Skillet of Peach Waffles and two scoops of vanilla ice cream. Or, if you have a sweeter tooth, then this Apple and Cinnamon Pudding in a Skillet simply melts in your mouth.
Pair them all off with a cold glass of Jungle Jerry which is a mix of Jerry Rum, pineapple juice, campari, ginger ale and lime juice.
The slightly bitter taste of the Jungle Jerry counteracts with the sweetness of the desserts to balance your palate and enjoy each and every bite.
The View Cafe
After our food crawl around Molito, we headed off to Tagaytay to visit a fairly new cafe along the roads of Laurel, Batangas.
The place is called The View Restaurant and Cafe, nestled at the edge of the cliff with a wide heart 180-degree view of Taal Lake.
The View is a cozy and spacious 2-story place with lots of lights coming from the floor-to-ceiling glass windows walls and a veranda for al fresco dining. They serve a good variety of food from typical local dishes to Western fusion, served in a nice and colorful plating.
We ordered Shrimp Scampi Pasta, Walnut and Green Salad in Balsamic Vinaigrette, Mixed Vegetables with Quail Eggs, and Lechon Kawali.
To help preserve the memories of this food crawl, we relied on our trusty Infinix ZERO 30 5G with its triple-camera setup.
The detailed shots are taken with the large 108-megapixel main shooter with an f/1.75 aperture, phase-detection auto-focus and optical image stabilization.
The more close-up shots are taken with the 2-megapixel macro camera. You can check out more samples we took with the rear camera in our Google Photo Gallery here.
