Nikon has announced its new point-and-shoot canera that packs a 16 megapixel sensor, built-in WiFi, a 3.7-inch touchscreen display, and runs Android 4.2.2 Jellybean – the Coolpix S810c.
Tagged by Nikon as the “next generation full-featured social camera”, the Coolpix S810c is the successor to the Coolpix S800c from 2 years ago and the company’s second attempt at releasing an Android powered camera. It also doubles as a media player so you can listen to your tunes while you’re taking photos.

The camera is not the problem. The problem is who will distribute it in the Philippines. I have several Nikon digital cameras yet I’m having a hard time getting one unit fix coz the current Philippine distributor when bankrupt according to the camera shop distributors I’ve talked to. Bad trip. :-(

Given that it needs power for both the digicam and the “media-player” portions of the device, I wonder how long the battery would last in this? How many shots can it take before the battery charge runs out?
That’s not really a concern. People do not buy digicams to use them as media players.
