Poll: Which CPU are you running on?

The line-up of new CPUs between AMD and Intel are getting crowded especially with the newer generations that sports 4 to 6 core CPUs. Was wondering if people are upgrading as fast as the CPUs are being introduced.

Our new poll for this week seeks to find out — Which CPU are you running on? I’m limiting the choices to the ff. processors:

(If you have multiple PCs, pick the fastest CPU you own.)

  • Intel Core i7
  • Intel Core i5
  • Intel Core i3
  • Intel Core 2 Duo
  • Intel Core 2 Quad
  • Intel Pentium D
  • Intel Celeron
  • Intel Atom
  • AMD Athlon
  • AMD Phenom
  • AMD Athlon X2
  • AMD Athlon II
  • AMD Sempron
  • AMD Phenom II

I’ve added the poll on the sidebar so you can submit your votes there. You can leave a comment below too if you want to qualify your choice.

As for me, I haven’t jumped yet to the Core i7 I was planning months ago so I’m still on a Core 2 Quad Q6600 (which I seldom use lately to save on electricity).

  1. intel celeron gamit ko ngayon..

  2. My old neighbor was an engineer at AMD and he was an @$$.. so i decided to boycott AMD and go all INTEL for life haha

  3. currently using Intel Atom, but saving money for the Intel Core i7…

  4. Athlon X2 unlocked to Quad Core

  5. nice.. my laptop very first CPU is a AMD Athlon 900, then our old but still dependable laptop is using celeron now my current CPU is using Intel Core 2 Duo E7500.

No immediate plans to upgrade to any of the “core i” family processor.

  6. C2D on work MacBook, Athlon X2 3600+ on my personal rig (rarely used now).

Next personal laptop will probably be a CULV. not so important anymore.

  7. Phenom 2 555BE dual-core unlocked to quad core via my Gigabyte board.

    Now that’s power for ya!

But I’m seriously considering buying an i5 750 in the near future, or better yet, a phenom x6 (though it pales in comparison with the i7)

Also, good news folks: Intel core i7 prices are expected to be sheared to 3/4 by August.

  8. core i3!

  9. @JP

wow tuna! that’s an amazing procie!

  10. Just got an i7 860 over the weekend. So far, I’m sleepless. :D

This is a major upgrade for me since 2005 because my P4 HT already broke down.
