HUAWEI MatePad 12 X (2026) Review
Almost everyone is jumping into the Android craze and it has done a lot of wonders for many manufacturers. I would even hazard an opinion that Android significantly propelled some handset brands to the level of success they now have. Some do it right, while others still have to work harder.
Let’s put this to a vote, shall we? So who makes the best Android phones? Who’s your favorite handset manufacturer?
Our choices are:
I think it’s going to be a toss-up between HTC and Samsung. HTC has a lot of trophies in its belt (HTC Hero, Desire & Sensation) while Samsung is getting a lot of attention with the Galaxy S2.

hmmn, Samsung, Htc and Sony Ericsson para sa akin. I like the Galaxy S and S2 from Samsung, Desire HD and Desire S from HTC, Xperia Arc and Play from Sony Ericsson… Para sa akin Htc ang hari ng 2010, pero ngayong 2011 eh Samsung ako (^_^)

Got my android phone for just 6k and it’s great. With cheap china android phones, anybody can afford it, even our maids and driver. You don’t need ecpoensive phones like the overpriced htc phones which all look alike.

hello, madaming may gusto ng android dahil sa UI, android market has a lot of waste apps kaya mas madami than AppStore. Apple has a unique UI at maraming gumaya, android OS is found in every phones now, magkakaiba man kayo ng phone, pare-pareho naman ng UI.. Maganda ang Android pero hindi pangit ang iOS..

It’s not really a through and through bad thing…because to some it’s an advantage–at least they could buy good phones, though tech of last year, nonetheless still a good gadget buy.

specs wise it will be Samsung considering that SGS2 performs better than HTC Sensation but when it comes to build quality, UI and specs just for standard use, I will go for HTC.

do you need to do that? I mean do you need to root your device and void the warranty to enjoy the UI that you want?
My friend has a SGS and I have a desire. yup! SGS is better on paper but when he dropped his beloved phone, end of sweet memories. I dropped mine for 6 times and everything is still working fine like nothing happened. That’s what I call QUALITY.
My colleague has a Samsung Galagy Ace, she just played an mp3 with the maximum volume on and the next day her phone can’t play even a beep.

Yeah yeah and I’m sure there’s another guy who had some friends that had some worst experience with his or her HTC phones as well. My Aunt dropped her Desire only once and it’s not even that high, her touchscreen suddenly became somewhat unresponsive.

To be fair, my old 5110 had a beating. It fell off the second floor and it still works (after rettaching the case and battery of course). Now let’s see any smartphone top that. :)

HTC. The only one that managed good and useful integration of their services with their Android devices. So much so that they came from obscurity to a powerhouse when Android was released.

I have used my SGS for 6 months, the prob I had with it was that it took a while for the Gingerbread update to be released. (im using CM7 2.3.4) parang talagang hinintay nila i-release un SGS2 muna (which sucks). Beside that Im about 70-30 between Samsung and HTC…Will get the SGS2 though because of my familiarity in their device. But if they have the same price range….and hindi ko lang alam kung battery life ang paguusapan and you are online always…sino mas lamang….?

SGS2 lasts longer especially when web browsing and even playing videos. Its dual-core chip performs better. Camera captures better. The SGS2 only sucked on GPS performance.

And if I may add, they justify the premium price of their handsets with the “premium feel” of the device and the “coolness factor” of paying extra for that HTC tax.

i guess for most of the users, the question should have been “what android phone do you have”
because unless you’re able to use multiple brands, people will end up what brand they have.
i do recognize that there are a few that have already used atleast two brands, but that’s a few.

I go for samsung and htc. I haven’t had a phone with Android yet, but looking at lots of info on the net about android phones sgs2/sensation, them two seem to be the hottest phones to date. Its going to be a big change for me since i’m more familiar with iOS… Just waiting for the to be available here in the ph :D

Owned an HTC, not very satisfied. So if I were to go back to Android, I’d try Sony Ericsson because their phones look so damned sexy. And I’ve also heard good words about Timescape.

i will vote for HTC because of it’s solid build body that is really impressive than the plastic one of samsung, the HTC sense UI that is really cool that TouchWiz UI, and i think some of samsung design is just being copied from apple that’s why apple is still complaining on it’s patent versus samsung, it’s really worthy to buy HTC even though it’s not as that cheap,

Samsung Galaxy S2 ang pinakamagandang android phone in my opinion. Specs pa lang lamang na eh. I think marami na magsswitch sa Android this year, kasi nakakasawa na ang iOS. lalo na mahirap na ijailbreak ang mga next iOS devices like the upcoming iPhone 4S/5. Even the iPad2 ang tagal wala pa ding Jailbreak and hindi mo pa pwede macustomize, gastos pa apps unlike Android na maraming free apps na paid apps for iOS.

Samsung or HTC, I doubt Motorola will gain market share here in the Philippines.
HTC was revived by Android, while Samsung gained a lot of momentum with Android. So in short its between the two.
As for LG the phones are fine but the after sales service is crap.

LG cause of the optimus 3D. they keep innovating. they brought the first dual core so others followed and they were also one of the first to release a full 3D experience smartphone. haha loving my optimus 3D. unique!
