Most of you here might have already aware of the 2nd installment on the Philippine SEO contest.
This time the new keyword is ituloy angsulong which means something like continue the movement or something to that effect. It’s supposed to be composed of 3 words (ituloy, ang, sulong) but if you have them that way, you’d get results in the search engines.
This time, contest entries will have the chance to win by ranking on all 3 major search engines — Google, Yahoo and MSN — with varying cash prizes. It is estimated that the total cash prizes for this SEO contest may reach Php300,000 and special prizes will also be given to those who have the highest cumulative rank on all three SEs.
Again this is a no holds barred contest — so you can implement whatever techniques, use new or old domains and whatnots.
Which brings me — as fast as new pages and links are created for this contest, the previous isulong seoph contest is suffering a dwindling count in the SERPs. As of today, it’s down to 698k in Google.com.ph.
Though I didn’t officially joined in that one (I only serve as one of the sponsors), I was actually able to monetize the site that I used to compete/experiment (just under $400 as of today). See, you don’t need to officially join and compete to earn big bucks. ;) That’s prolly the best lesson I learned from it.
Here’s a really nice proposal for everyone here. What if I make this post an official entry and invite everyone to collaborate (read: join powers) with me. All winnings will be used to fund another huge BlogCon of sorts. I’m not sure when the contest will end but Christmas is nearing so maybe we could hold a Christmas bash? How’s that sound? :)
