Apple rolls out watchOS 3.1.1, pulls it after bricking devices

If you own an Apple Watch, may it be Series 1 or Series 2, don’t hit that update button just in case it was still able to crawl to your smartwatch.

Apple released watchOS 3.1.1 which is mostly bug fixes and a whole ton of new emojis for everybody’s enjoyment. However, there are some users who are reporting that their Apple Watch Series 2 got bricked after installing. They were greeted with a red exclamation mark and a link suggesting to visit Apple Help’s website.

So far, there are a few reporting the bricks so Apple has decided to stop giving the update out to users. The Apple Watch doesn’t have a wired connector and cannot be fixed without taking it to an Apple Store. Unfortunately, users who had their watches bricked will have to do a visit.
