Do you want to have your files accessible almost anywhere and can easily be shared around or simply need to free up some space from your PC or smartphone? If yes, then you need cloud storage. There are plenty of cloud services online but we’re listing down those that offer at least double-digit storage spaces and are free to use.
Note: The cloud storage providers mentioned below are those that offer at least 10GB of free storage space.
Box (10GB)
Box is one of the most popular cloud storage services in the market. It offers three plans: Individual, Business, and Platform. You can sign up for a free account and get 10GB of free storage with a 250MB file upload limit. Box can be accessed via a web browser but also has apps for the Mac, Windows, Android, and iOS so you can access your files, regardless of the platform.
Google Drive (15GB)
Another popular cloud storage platform is Google Drive which offers 15GB of free storage space. If you heavily use Google’s services, this is the one we suggest as you can save Gmail attachments and store photos and have them accessed via Google Photos. Those files are also searchable, can be made available offline, and can be opened using Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides. Google Drive can be accessed via a browser or via their Android and iOS apps.
SanDisk Cloud (20GB) 11
SanDisk Cloud is powered by cloud storage provider Upthere which was acquired by Western Digital. SanDisk Cloud offers 20GB of free storage and can organize your files based on type: Photos, Music, Documents. The files are uploaded in full quality, are searchable, and can be shared to other SanDisk Cloud users. SanDisk Cloud can be accessed via a browser or through their Android and iOS apps.
Icedrive (20GB)
Next is Icedrive which also offers 20GB of free storage with a 3GB daily bandwidth allowance. Aside from being to able to back up your files, Icedrive’s desktop software allows you to access and manage your cloud storage space as if it were a physical hard disk or USB stick directly in your OS. This gives you all of the features and feel of your OS: edit, upload, delete, open. Icedrive is available via browser, desktop, and Android app.
Mega (50GB) 15
Mega has been around for a while and offers one of the biggest spaces when it comes to cloud storage at 50GB. In addition, it boasts fast file transfers, end-to-end encryption, and secure chat. Mega is accessible via a browser, mobile apps, desktop app, and has support for browser extensions.
Degoo (100GB)
If you want the largest possible, then check out Degoo with 100GB of storage space. It has an automatic backup, encryption, streaming support for your video files, and unlimited data transfer so you can share as many files to your friends and colleagues. Degoo can be accessed via their desktop app and Android and iOS apps.

I am a lifetime subscriber of Icedrive and would like to share my thoughts on it.
They have a very long way to go to reach anywhere near the big guys like Onedrive, Google Drive, Dropbox and pCloud.
Its nice that you get 10GB free space.
But there are lots of basic function issues they need to fix.
Folder downloading is not possible on Icedrive, which is a huge problem.
Not possible to see folder details. (When you upload lots of files, most times the progress bar hangs and stops at some random percentage. So you’re not sure if all the files are uploaded or not. And without any option to check the folder details its headache at times)
When you try to rename files & folders, it won’t allow at times, may allow after you try multiple times.
Encrypted file option is good. But there are some issues in that too.
I know, they have only started this year.
But with lots of technical issues I don’t recommend them to be your main cloud storage.
They would require atleast one year more to stabilize every basic operations and run smoothly.
It’s good for your mobile backups (photos & videos) which are not that important.
But I DO NOT recommend them to store your important documents.
I think they have to reconsider their prices too, atleast until they gain more customers.
1 TB lifetime plan on Icedrive is 150$
2 TB plan on pCloud is 350$ which makes their 1 TB 175$ (though they do not have 1 TB plan, but still that’s what their plan value is)
And they always give offers too, like I got my 2TB LT pCloud plan for 245$, which makes 1 TB just 122.5$ which is cheaper than the IceDrive.
With crypto LT subscription (which is optional) my 1 TB pCloud plan values at 185$. Just 35$ more than Icedrive.
I would definitely go with pCloud as my primary backup solution as they are already established cloud providers.
Icedrive looks cool, their customer support is good and they are trying very hard to make a name in the competitive world of online storage solutions.
But when you need to trust you personal and sensitive documents its always better to choose the best out there.
