ColorOS 15 has been unveiled, featuring a new design language and a focus on AI features. The updated look comes with new icons, lighting effects, and subtle elements across the user interface (UI).
On top of these changes, ColorOS now has a new Aurora and Tidal Engine. This brings improved rendering and delivers responsive, lag-free app animations even if you quickly switch from one to the other.
OPPO has also developed a dynamic cache allocation system to manage your resources in real-time, ensuring fluid performance. The system has an 18% improvement in app responsiveness and is 26% faster in app installation.
AI is a huge highlight with the reveal of ColorOS 15. For starters, the XiaoBu Assistant can now be used with consistent, content-aware prompts. There’s even a new circle to search option for user convenience as well.
OPPO has also overhauled their AI image processing. Among the new features are one-touch person and reflection removal, portrait blur removal, and image upscaling. Plus, OPPO’s Live Photos now support electronic image stabilization (EIS).
Other AI integrations are also present in the Notes app, which can now format and summarize notes. There’s also a new document scanning feature with embedded summarization and translation between different languages.
Lastly, the voice recorder can now also summarize and transcribe your recordings. The last notable change is how OPPO has separated the notification shade from the control center.
ColorOS 15 will come pre-installed on the upcoming OPPO Find X8 Series and OnePlus 13 devices in China. We’ll leave the rollout schedule for older models above.
