Users may now copy and translate texts, and directly do an image search right on the Google Chrome desktop browser.
As the said browser reaches its 100th version, more functionalities are added on the integrated Google Lens feature.
By right-clicking on an image, included with the context menu is “Search image with Google Lens” much like a reverse-image search.
The user will be redirected to lens.google.com/search website with the selected image on the left (can be cropped and focus) with three new options: Search (image), Text, and Translate, and the generated results are on the right pane.
On the search button, users are shown with similar images, as well as the option to “find image source” that opens Google Images directly.
On the text and translate buttons, users may copy a portion or an entirety of the legible texts from the image. Additional options include ‘listen’ (to the selected texts), opening a Google search and Google Translate directly on their respective domains.
