Honor has officially started rolling out the MagicOS 9.0 beta update for select devices, bringing Android 15-based features and improvements. The beta program kicked off in late October, and today, some users with specific flagship models, including the Magic 6 series, Magic 5 series, and the Magic V3, Vs3, and V2 foldable models, are receiving the first version of MagicOS 9.0, tagged as version 9.0.0.116. However, the beta is limited to users who registered for testing, so others will have to wait until further releases.
The update enhances overall device performance with features like a new zoom effect for fan icons, UI tweaks for the camera interface, and improvements to YOYO suggestions. Additional optimizations include updates to the Private Space functionality and smoother navigation for car-related tasks via the Car Connect feature with Amap.
Users need to be on firmware versions 8.0.1.173 or 8.0.1.172 to participate in the beta program. Since this is an early beta release, users may encounter common issues like overheating, app freezing, and battery drain.
