When we posted the article yesterday, some of us (yes, including myself) were disappointed by the fact that your beloved Samsung device are still stuck with an old OS while their quad-core toting counterpart has already started getting the update.
But all is not lost as the South Korean company hasn’t totally neglected our devices. In line with the release of the Android 4.1 update for the SGS3, Samsung also made a short list of their current devices which would get the same treatment.
Galaxy Tab 2.7.0
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1
Galaxy Note 10.1
Galaxy S II
Galaxy Note
Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus
Galaxy S Advance
Galaxy S II LTE
Galaxy Music
Galaxy Chat
Galaxy Ace 2
Galaxy Beam
Galaxy Ace Plus
Galaxy Mini II
Galaxy S Duos
The list is definitely a good start but it would’ve been better if they included a release date along with it. To make things worse, it was brought to our attention that some of these devices still don’t have ICS installed on it, especially those which are purchased from a telco. As soon as we’ve heard word when the update starts seeding, we’re sure to update you guys.

Ohyeah. JB for P3110! Just got my P3110 a while ago. I wish I don’t need to go to a Service Center to upgrade it. :)

Hope that Samsung would still update our units even past jellybean
Good sir. May I know if there would be any ics or jb update for the Samsung galaxy wifi 5.0? Thanks.

I have been waiting for this Jellybean update. Release date announced?
How do we get the Jellybean updates?
still no update to 4.0.4 from globe
my s2 is still 4.0.3… buggy!
Can we update it by ourselves? Or should we have our units given to Samsung?
You can do it yourself. You can hook it up to Kies and Kies will download the latest firmware for your phone. Sometimes Kies just doesn’t work with me though. You can also try going into settings then click software update and it’ll download it straight to your phone. I can imagine though that the file size would quite large though.
may nka update nba ng ics for 7.7 sa inyo dito sa pinas tru kies? help nmn poh
ako tol naka-ics na..pero mobile odin pinangflash ko gamit europe fw from samfirmware.com
got a reply from Samsung today:
Dear Jayson,
Thank you for contacting Samsung Philippines; we appreciate the opportunity to assist you.
We regret to inform you that we do not have any confirmation yet about the list of Samsung phones and tablets that will have a Jelly Bean update. However, we will keep you posted once the Jelly Bean is now available here in the Philippines. In line with this, since your unit has an Ice Cream Sandwich, it seems that it will also be compatible with Jelly Bean. We would like to ask for your patience and thank you for your support to our product.
Please feel free to visit our support website often at http://www.samsung.com/ph/support for frequently asked questions, service location and repair self tracking.

no love for tab 7.7?
yan gamit ko,badtrip naman kung hanggang ICS nalang sya..sana na-overlook lang nila ung article at masama parin sya sa JB updates
wow, glad to hear theres a Jellybean update for my Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus! I just updated to ICS a few weeks ago, and this is a great news! :)
dude, where’d you get the ICS update? ive been looking everywhere, tried kies but nothing there.
Thanks!
got it from KIES too, but you need to do it on KIES on you desktop, because over wifi updates will not show up. :) I updated around 3 or 4 weeks ago when it rolled out.
Laging nag-eerror ung Kies everytime na mag-uupdate ako… Hmmm, naka-experience ka ba nun during the update process?
Thanks!
nyay sana naisipan nila yung Galaxy W i8150 :-(
Im quite confuse on the ICS thing you’ve mention. Meaning to say we need to update the old Gingerbread to ICS in order to get JB? Or it is a direct update?
Yahers! Kasama ang S advance :))
bat wala 7.7?
Tab 2 may update … Ung 7.7 wala? WT£!!! Kong ganito lang naman din. D na ako bbli nang samsung…. Buti nalang may ICS na ung 7.7
Would like very much to know how my SGS2 would improve from this Jelly Bean upgrade.
My friend used a custom ROM based on Jelly Bean for his Galaxy S2, he loved how fast and responsive his phone was, but the custom ROM had issues with the camera so he had to go back to ICS
you can expect that JB will be awesome ;) personally, I can’t wait for the Galaxy Note update XD
yay! JB update for N7000! excited!
