As Microsoft launched its latest version of Windows 10, it’s also making a big step for its most popular app.
At its Microsoft EDU event, the company announced it’ll bring Microsoft Office to the Windows Store. While Microsoft Office is already on the Store, it’s not yet a full version just like its desktop application counterpart (Win32).
Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint are confirmed to be ported while others are coming as well. The target launch date is in June 2017.
Since Windows 10 S only allows apps from the Windows Store, it’s sensible to put up Microsoft’s productivity suite on it. This will give the education sector more freedom with the software, rather than sticking to a mobile or web version.
