Official Jellybean update for Galaxy S3 rolling out

Samsung had already started releasing the OS update for their current flagship device earlier than their target roll-out date with Polish users getting it first while its neighboring countries are next in line which is due to get the update in the coming days.

Some of the things that this update brings to the quad-core smartphone are listed below:

Snappier performance
UI enhancements
Resizable Pop-Up video
Revamped Notification bar
2 home screen modes
Google Now
Offline Voice Typing
S-Memo replaced by S-Note app
Enhanced browsing experience

With the prompt release of this firmware update, it seems that the Samsung is starting to commit to their promises. As for their previous handsets, (SGN, SGSII and the like) weâ€™ll just have to silently weep and hope that the South Korean company hasnâ€™t forgotten our beloved devices.

kelan kaya magkakaron ng jelly bean sa mga tablet ng samsung..naka ics nako sa tab 7.7 – although wala problema mas maganda parin ang latest..hehe

Im not sure if I will update my S3, sayang ung flash support sa ICS. Lagi pa naman ako nanunuod ng Adventure Time sa phone ko. Hehe.

Bro, pwede mo pa din isideload ang flash kahit nakajelly bean na. Walang issues sa Galaxy Nexus ko running 4.1.1.

Wow. And to think that they have not delivered the ICS update yet on Galaxy Tab 8.9 3G+wifi. Way to go Samsung! Malapit ng matapos ang September! Wala pa ring update! I tried OTA but it says there is no update yet. When I tried Kies (2.3, the latest version) it says that my device is not supported! Ang galing di ba? :-\

iphone3gs ata na 2009 phone e may ios6 update pa. sana ganun din sa mga google devices na matagal yun os support.

ios = apple
android = samsung, lg, sony , motorola, htc, asus, at halos lahat….

mahirap iupdate considering many OEMs….

if you want timely android update, get a nexus branded handset…

plus, may xda naman para sa pag-flash….

lagi ako nag checheck ng update sa phone ko since the day na ni-roll out nila ung JB Update. WALA PA DIN!!! tagal.

ung update, parang Nokia at iPhone din… pinupush ang update notice sa cellphone mismo.

pero sa android, pag minor update, puede mong direct na idownload sa phone. pero pag major releases, kailangan mo gamitin ung Samsung Kies PC Software.

Hindi pa. Malalaman mo lng yun kasi mkikita nmn sa notification area kng may downloadable update for your phone. Basta connected lng sa wifi

Hello, kakabili ko lng po ng s3.
Nakatanggap ako ng notif about sa software update.
May nabasa ako site need daw mag back up.
Eh since bago sya wla pa masyadong laman,
pwede ko na ba sya i update?
Nadala na kasi ako iphone ko, napa JB ko na sya pag ka update ko sa itunes, need na naman i pa JB,
EH ndi ko nman po pina JB tung samsung.

It just means that there was an overload in update requests. Try using Kies or do it another day… But you should just do it in Kies because Jelly Bean is soooo awesome…

root nyo na lang para walang bloatwares. ito ang latest firmware = http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646610
1 time root lang, pag flash mo ng latest firmware, mawawala na rin ulit ang root.

nag cacrash ung Kies ko after 100% download ng upgrade firmware… haaayz sa OTA naman laging try again later tapos sa mga service center naman la pa daw sila balita sa JB update.. buti pa tayo customers updated sila hinde…

Help! Wala pa rin yung Jellybean update sa S3 ko. Pinabili ko pala siya sa Saudi. Tried plugging my phone sa computer para maidentify sa Kies if may Jellybean update na ba pero wala eh.

Nakalagay lang is Current firmware version: PDA:LFB / PHONE:LFB / CSC:LF3 (AFR) and yung latest, same as Current firmware.
