Samsung announces the availability of Galaxy AI features 12 on more Galaxy devices through a new One UI 6.1 update.
The update will be available across the Galaxy S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5 and Tab S9 series, starting to roll out from the end of March.
In line with the recent launch of the Galaxy S24 series, the update raises the standard for users’ mobile AI experience combining on-device and cloud-based AI.
With this update, users can utilize Galaxy AI features centered on communication, productivity, and creativity.
First up, we have Chat Assist, which give users the ability to adjust message tone and translate messages in 13 different languages.
Next, Live Translate provides voice and text translations for phone calls, giving Galaxy users intuitive real-time interactions.
And with Interpreter, Galaxy users can engage in spur-of-the-moment conversations with locals while traveling as the split-screen feature generates text translations for live conversations.
The Galaxy AI integration across the Galaxy ecosystem also enables seamless user experience for everyday tasks on AI-supported models.
With Circle to Search with Google, searching is improved through a circle-motioned gesture that generates intuitive search results.
Note Assist, on the other hand, provides Galaxy users with organization features to make formats, generate summaries, and translate notes.
As for Browsing Assist, it enables individuals to stay on track by generating comprehensive summaries of news articles.
Transcript Assist is also a nifty tool for easily transcribing meeting recordings, while also generating summaries and translations.
The latest Galaxy update also delivers a suite of tools for Galaxy AI that encourages creative freedom.
Generative Edit lets AI-supported devices easily resize, reposition, or realign objects in photos to perfect otherwise already great shots.
As for Edit Suggestion, users can quickly polish photos with ease. And with Slow-mo, users can generate additional frames for slow-motion videos to capture action-packed moments.
