If we thought that BlackBerry OS 10 devices are doomed, this is probably the best news we’ve heard from their camp in a long while.
Presenting Snap, a Google Play client for BlackBerry 10 devices running the latest 10.2.1 update which just rolled out. From the UI stand point, it looks like the BlackBerry World but with Google Play apps. That means more apps and more fun for the good ol’ BlackBerry 10.
In order to use Snap, you must first sideload it to your BB10 device. If you haven’t tried sideloading apps into a BlackBerry before, here is a guided step by step procedure from CrackBerry.com 25
With the latest 2.0 version of Snap, you can download your previous purchases in Google Play to your BlackBerry 10 device. This is finally having Android apps without the need to sideload or convert them separately. If you have tried using this client, please share your comments and experience so far.

No need to sideload. Direct download. Also, you can use Amazon Store too. Sideload it first from DDPB then youre good to go!

This makes me want to buy a Q10 more. Just something as a secondary phone. I’m not really looking for end high end phone but a smartphone that’s good enough to do tasks. In other words, something for business. This one is just a plus for me.
Do you think it’s a good isea?

I had z10 for about a week then had to sell it at low cost.. I don’t think blackberry is even trying to compete with other brands.. it’s just name and they’re even loosing it..
mutt0mbu says:
@JM yes. but i have errors while downloading. i’m using tTorrent at the moment
JM says:
Can you install uTorrent on BB10 then?
Paolo says:
Looks like new hope for BlackBerry lovers out there. Too bad though, that even the BlackBerry Z30 specs cannot match up to any other Android flagship phone out there.

Mas ma-lag kaya ang Blackberry Q10. Minsan nga nagfrefreeze pa eh…

+1 to Dodong. Some people were easy to speak against something they didn’t even experienced before.

It’s because BB10 doesn’t need a quad core, so does the iphone or windows phone, the OS is optimized to require less processor power. Of course, having high end specs in your device is a plus, only a hypocrite would say no in defense of their chosen platform. But I’m pretty much satisfied with my z10. I’ve had 10.2.1 since Dec and Snap is a such a great app to install apks directly, no more need to sideload. Android apps are also running smoothly, except for the occasional pop-up when an app requires GSF. It’s just sad people are so far up their asses when they think of Blackberry as the old Blackberry (OS7 below). If only the platform would be recognized for what it is now (OS10), people will appreciate it.
