Good news: Sony has announced during its CES Keynote Presentation that it will roll out the much-awaited Android 5.0 Lollipop update to entire Z series of flagship devices, starting with the Z3 line in February.
That means all smartphones and tablets in the Z3 line, big or small, will receive the sweet-flavored update as it rolls out worldwide next month. Details on exact date and schedule of OTA updates were not announced during the keynote speech, but this comes on track with their announcement last year that all Z devices will be upgraded to Google’s latest mobile operating system version last year. Android Lollipop introduces a slew of new design and back-end features, most notably the much-favored Material Design language the internet search giant is rolling out on all its native applications. To give you a glimpse of what to expect with the update, here’s a demo of Android 5.0 running on the three generations of Sony Xperia flagships.
