SwiftKey keyboard is now owned by Microsoft

The famous third-party keyboard for both Android and iOS is now under the roof of Windows’ parent company, Microsoft.

SwiftKey has joined the Microsoft family and together, their mission is to “empower every person and ever organization on the planet to achieve more” and “enhance interaction between people and technology.”

It’s been eight years since SwiftKey began its journey as a brainchild of two people. Since then, they have found their way to get into the business of language prediction among mobile devices, both Android and iOS.

It’s good to know that SwiftKey will continue to be available for free on both platforms. And since Microsoft now holds the future of the app, we expect Windows 10 to be a part of the future of SwiftKey.
