Telegram rolls out custom notification sounds

Telegram now lets users set any notification sound for each conversation its latest update.

The custom notification sound currently supports audio files and voice messages less than five seconds and under 300KB file size. Users may assign a custom sound to a specific chat or an entire group chat.

For convenience, users may set notification sounds directly from a short voice message or audio sent in the conversation.

Just tap next to a message > choose ‘Save for Notifications’ to add the audio to a list of sounds (Telegram Tones).

Telegram also provides a variety of custom notifications on their dedicated channel.

Moreover, users now also may customize mute durations. Previously, users can only mute notifications for an hour, eight hours, or up to two days. Telegram now gives users extended mute durations up to an entire year.

Other feature updates include UI improvements for the auto-delete timer, improved in-app translation, ability to change the size of picture-in-picture mode on Android, and new animated food emoji.
