Winamp waves farewell after 15 years

Back to the days when we dislike our stock media players on our PCs, Winamp is our go-to application for a better experience. Sad news, it is no longer staying with us.

Winamp was popular during the 90s and early 2000s. This was during the good old days of Win98 and XP where things are simple and straight forward. It even had a Mac and Android version to keep up with the times.

For an undisclosed reason, Winamp will be having its last download available on December 20, 2013. With that, all fans and users of the media player can have the latest build for remembrance. Of course, that doesn’t prevent you from downloading a copy now and saving it for future use or you’ll probably see copies saved somewhere else.

It’s been a good 15 years of service Winamp.

This is kind of sad. Winamp was synonymous to anipike. The website is where most of my music comes from as well as the skins for it.

Nakakalungkot naman. Winamp gamit ko pampagana habang nagtatype ng thesis nung college o kaya habang nagka counter strike, battle realms, dota. :(

just kinda shock :-o :(. From XP time til this time windows 7/8 I’m still relying and using Winamp to play music while doing my online activities and I even keep this player updated everytime they released a new version. Just sad to know that they will stop updating this one. Anyways I guess the last build of this BEST OF BEST Music Player will be running fine for maybe at least 5-8 yrs (hope so).

Kudos to all writers of WINAMP. The most lightweight mp3-player in the system of
    EPIC-PCs
