Google has announced a new app called YouTube Go designed for offline viewing and can work even when there’s low or no connectivity.
YouTube Go is a new mobile app built from the ground up. Unlike the standard YouTube app that works best on fast connections and more powerful smartphones, this app is designed for offline use or slower connections.
The new app features a homescreen that is filled with relatable, trending and popular videos in your area, allows you to preview videos before you save or watch, lets you choose your resolution when saving or streaming videos, and share your videos with friends without using any data via Wi-Fi Direct.
YouTube Go will roll out for Android users in India first later this year with plans for a wider release in early next year.
