Frequently Asked Questions

What is the UMID Pay Card and how does it work?

The UMID Pay Card is a partnership between SSS and RCBC that functions as both a valid government-issued ID and an ATM card. It is linked to a bank account that requires no starting or maintaining balance and will be the default account for crediting SSS benefits and loans. Through it, members can withdraw cash, transfer funds, pay bills, and deposit cash via RCBC channels. RCBC began issuing these cards in Q1 2023.

How can I register for an online SSS account and what can I do with it?

You can register for a My.SSS account on the SSS website if you are a member with a valid SS number and at least one posted contribution. Registration is free. With a My.SSS account, you can access your social security records, perform online transactions, generate Payment Reference Numbers (PRN), apply for loans, update contact information, and enroll disbursement accounts for benefits like pensions.

What are the main features of the SSS Mobile App?

The SSS Mobile App allows members to check contribution records, apply for salary loans, check loan balances and status, view benefit claim information (sickness, maternity, retirement, disability), generate PRNs for payments, and update contact details. As of August 2021, it had recorded over 35 million transactions in an 8-month period. It supports online payments via BPI and PayMaya and is available on Google Play Store, Apple App Store, and Huawei AppGallery.
