Waze recently added a slew of COVID-19 features to its app as part of its local and global crisis response to the pandemic. Waze's map editors and crisis response team are currently working with 58 countries to add region-specific relief efforts including road closures, red zones, and more to the map. Waze has activated its Crisis Response features such as evacuation zone notifications, updates on road closures, emergency shelters and donation drop off centers, to help those involved in Taal operations. The Waze's Crisis Response team is assisting a total of 308 different segments of road closures, 102 emergency shelters, and donation centers as of date. Local Waze users affected by the crisis received both push notifications on the day of the eruption and during the relief operations.
