YugaTech is the largest and longest-running technology site in the Philippines. Originally established in October 2002, the site has been transformed into a full-fledged technology site in 2005.
YugaTech mainly covers consumer electronics, tech news, social media, automotive, tech policy and provides in-depth reviews of the most popular devices released in the market with special focus on the Philippine landscape.
The team regularly attends and covers all major tech events in the work, including the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas and Shanghai, IFA in Berlin, Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Computex in Taiwan and the North American Auto Show in Detroit along with most of the major global product launches.
The site generates over 2.5 million page views a month from about 1,100,000 unique visitors per month.
It has a very active and engaging social media presence with an average of 1 million weekly exposure from over 350,000 fans on Facebook and a subscriber base of over 400,000 on YouTube. YugaTech has consistently been the No. 1 tech site in the country for the past 16 years.

Abe has been blogging since 2000 and founded YugaTech in 2002. He is a graduate of the Ateneo de Manila University with a BS in Chemistry and Computer Engineering. He’s been to several countries (Germany, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan) moderating seminars/workshops on blogging and new media (complete list of talks/workshops here).
Founder of Pinoyscreencast started using YouTube as a medium to disseminate Filipino-spoken technical tutorials. He decided to embark on reviews focusing on affordable gadgets. As he kept sharing more content, his subscriber base grew and shared how his videos influenced them in making a product purchase. Randolph a.k.a “Biboy” has over a decade of experience with digital content creation, social media marketing, e-commerce strategy. He is also a maker who loves tinkering and creating functional things to make his life easier everyday.
Joaquin graduated with a degree in Operations Management from San Beda University. Despite having no direct connection with his undergraduate course, his interest in technology led him to join YugaTech as an intern back in 2018. A few months after he graduated, fate worked its way in making him the Operations Specialist of the company.
Kath is a Communication graduate in LPU-Laguna. Wanting to go out of her comfort zone, she tried exploring something new that she’s not familiar with which is why she joined YugaTech. Aside from that, she loves acting, she has won the best actress and best-supporting actress back in her college days and still hoping to use that talent of hers in the future.
Miguel Paolo Ty is a highly skilled and versatile Senior Producer at YugaTech. As a filmmaker, content producer, and freelance multimedia consultant, Miguel’s diverse skillset enables him to bring a unique perspective to his work for the brand.Miguel holds a degree in Digital Filmmaking from the De La Salle – College of St. Benilde, graduating in 2018. This academic background, combined with his practical experience, underscores his strong commitment to creative storytelling and technical excellence.Whether he’s producing a short visual narrative or crafting a tech review, Miguel’s work consistently showcases his passion for digital media and his ability to engage audiences with compelling content.
Arel studied Material Science Engineering at Mapúa University while working part-time as a multimedia producer in YugaTech. He is also a theater actor, cinematographer, and editor at Tanghalang SAWAKAS, and Vincentiments. He has been doing films for a year while doing stage performances for 5 years already.
JM’s highest stat is probably his curious ardor to anything tech—electronics and gaming in particular. He certainly heeds utmost regard to specsheet, visuals, and rule of thirds. If creativity and wit sometimes leave JM’s system, watching films, series, and playing games are his approved therapeutic claims. JM Chavaria graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.
Cristina Joy D. Valerio, more commonly known as CJ to most, is a Multimedia Producer at Yugatech. She has an interest in the evolving world that is technology. Apart from that, she organizes D&D sessions, plays video games, and watches anime to kill time. CJ’s alma mater is iACADEMY and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology specializing in Web Development.
Communication graduate, closet cynic, and kid at heart. Duane is a rare person to find, quite literally. He often takes to himself but has proven his mettle in tech media with his quick wits. Well, the portfolio of scriptwriting, web content, and public relations help too, we suppose. As a homebody, he often spends his time on the streaming platform Twitch or ‘farming’ gaming clips with friends. He is also an avid fan of round glasses and anything relative to blueberries.
