MediaTek continues to up their game in the chipset race as we know their plans to release a Helio X30 processor early next year. In addition to that, it looks like a more capable Helio X35 is also well on its way to an official introduction.
According to reports, the Helio X35 will be a beefier X30 with its own clocking shooting up to 3.0GHz. Features of the X30 will also be present on the X35 like its ability to power standalone VR headset thanks to its capable GPU, Cat. 12 LTE, three carrier aggregation (3CA), support for 8GB RAM, as well as having been built on TSMC’s 10nm FinFET architecture.
The X35, together with the X30, should reach manufacturers early next year and will be able to be put into smartphones for consumers when the first half of 2017 ends.
It seems like we’ll be expecting a fresh batch of flagship smartphones next year that rock these processors.
