Globe also plans to offer 1Gbps fiber to home connection this November 2015, according to leaked documents we obtained earlier. This is part of the Platinum Home Broadband Plan that Globe is offering to select villages and condominiums.
The historical chart above shows the initial speed offering for fiber when Globe started rolling it out in 2014. It also shows how the speeds are increasing and the monthly service fees are decreasing.
According to the same documents that we got, Platinum Home Broadband Plans will start at 50Mbps for Php2,499 (see story here).
There’s also a 200Mbps plan for Php4,499 and a 500Mbps line for Php7,499 if you think 1Gbps is too much for your needs.
Take note those that the 1Gbps fiber connections are currently offered in limited areas (see complete list here).

A friend of mine from pasig had FTTH from Converge ICT Solutions. He said that converge do offer fiber to the home connection, but there are limited areas in metro manila. Sad, no fiber to the home for me in Cainta… Website http://www.convergeict.com

ONE & THE SAME…
PLDT & SUN BOTH STINKING LIARS & THIEVES…
THEY BOTH SELL TO THE RICH FOR SUPER PROFITS &
THEY STEAL FROM THE POOR WITH ONLY PROMISES OF GOOD SERVICE THAT WERE NEVER SERVED…
F**K YOU BOTH !!!
wako says:
Sana nalang wag silang mag implement ng data cap kahit na sinabi nilang “unlimited data, no data cap” ngaun tapos kinabukasan may data cap na ahaha. Think positive nalang siguro for now since darating narin naman ang telstra and they have no choice but to upgrade their service.
Chaos Theory says:
1 GBPs?
Byte? Are you sure?
Such B.S. Globe
Byte =/= bit
Get your facts straight.
It should be “One Gigabit Per Second”.
jigenbatugan says:
intotoy says:
lol unli sa simula next time may cap na hahahahahah
mik says:
“monthly data cap” tlga ang panira sa lahat ng plans for all ISP ????
i was lucky enough to maintain my “globe plan 1299 7gb/day cap” ????
Alvin Santos says:
Let’s get one thing straight, this is a bunch of BS from Globe. I’m currently subscribed to their home LTE plan and the connection is beyond terrible. I don’t know how many times I’ve fought with a customer service rep but what else can I do? My contract is still locked and the pre-termination fees are a highway robbery. Come December, it’s bye bye Globe for me. Good riddance!
Renel says:
Lester says:
what happens to lower plans like 7Mbps? Do they get a price cut? :)
GIN says:
1gbps di pa maibigay ng maayos yung 1mbps eh
Justin says:
Globe and other telcos implement 80% speed reliability plus you might be using DSL line rather than fiber. The real problem is the availability.

NotaSheep says:
120% certain it’s capped at an unreasonable amount.
deuts says:
1Gbps nga capped ka naman to 10GB per month! hahaha
Zukane says:
Right now nakasulat sa website nila “unlimited data, no data cap” which is pretty good. We also don’t know how stable pero sana naman may good news na mangyari. It is pretty cheap compared to PLDT’s 200Mbps which is 20k a month. All we can do right now is for the competition to get more competitive and we the consumers can have a cheap yet fast internet speed and a stable one that is.
Renel says:
