Globe has announced its new premium public WiFi service called GoWiFi which offers free high-speed Internet up to 150Mbps in select locations.
The Globe GoWiFi is being rolled out in most Ayala Malls in the country, offering users free high-speed Internet access with speeds of up to 150Mbps. In addition, it is a secure access point and will be enhanced with Accelerator which allows for faster playback of popular YouTube videos. You can read more about it here.
GoWiFi is available to Globe and non-Globe customers at Ayala Malls in the country. Users just need to connect to the Ayala Malls GoWiFi signal and register their mobile number. A verification code with instructions will be sent to their phone to complete the connection.
Technically, this service is not free since you are required to register your mobile phone number. I’m sure that the terms & conditions of use grants them the authority to bombard you with SMS ads from Globe & third-party partners. This in turn pays for the so-called “free service” that you availed of.
No, its not completely free but at least we get some kind of free WiFi haha. Its funny how all y’all complain lol. it is what it is. take it or leave it. globe has to somehow make business. and that’s by ads and business boosts.
Privilege lang yan guys at hindi yan right! Pasalamat kayo dahil libre.
libre na nga, nagrereklamo pa kayo. etong utak pilipino talaga.
Sana naman ganyan serbisyo nyo sa mga normal nyong customer Globe.
limited to an hour at Glorietta and Greenbelt… fastest i ever experienced is up to 5MBPS.
in Ayala Malls, guaranteed time is limited to about 30 minutes to an hour per day I guess
Pinaka paborito ng mga telcom na salita.. “UP TO” maski guaranteed speed nga hindi nagagawa eh.
