With San Miguel Corporation selling its telecommunications assets to PLDT and Globe, Manny V. Pangilinan, Chairman of PLDT-Smart Tweeted that the company will return certain frequencies to government to ensure possible entry of a 3rd telco player.
MVP’s Tweet looks promising as it gives hope to consumers who are looking-forward to the entry of a third telco player. It wasn’t mentioned though which frequencies will be returned to the government via the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) but it could range from 700MHz to 2100MHz.
Basura
third player under a dummy company who is owned by either of the existing telco’s. GTFO you scum pig!
PLDT simply prefers the low frequency spectrum (700MHz it got ftom SMC) over the higher frequencies it will surrender to the govt. The surrender of the frequencies ti the government will fund its acquisition of the low frequencies from smc.
Mas maganda kasi ang mas mababang frequencues in terms of signal propagation, all things considered.
so thin we can have a great and high signal for internet?
