Local CATV and ISP Planet Cable has new plans for those who are looking for a digital cable subscription plus high-speed internet plan in one package.
We managed to get a copy of a new brochure in their office at Starmall Prima Molino in Bacoor, Cavite. Aside from their current 3Mbps and 5Mbps offering, they now have speedier plans labeled as High-speed Bundles and Elite Bundles. Check out the captured image below of their new plans.
Their internet plans are automatically bundled with a digital cable subscription of either Lite, Deluxe, or Premium. The cheapest plan is just at Php925 which already includes 35 standard-definition (SD) channels plus 3Mbps unlimited internet. Higher plans are available with a complete suite of 97 SD channels plus 19 high-definition channels and internet speeds of up to 100Mbps.
All plans have a 24-month lock-in period and are subject to availability depending on your location. Planet’s coverage includes selected areas of Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Antipolo, Ilo-ilo, and Southern Manila.
Also, seems like Planet Cable is under re-branding to Planet as they now offer more than just cable subscription. For questions and inquiries, head over to Planet Cable’s Facebook page here.

Sobrang mahal naman ng 100MB na yan. Buti pa sa ibang bansa halos pamigay na ang internet. Dito sa MY, ang 100MB sa PHP1250 lang sa pera natin. Speedtest shows 70MB DL and 90MB UP. Libra pa ang lahat ng gamit for 2 years contract. Then after sale/contract napakaresponsive pa din. There was a time na sobrang tagal na ng router ko, binigyan ako ng libreng bagong model ng router. No strings attached. Why can’t Philippines do that? Sobrang bagal na, sobrang mahal pa. Wala pang kwenta support. Gagawin kang tanga na iniisip nila lahat ng tao walang alam sa internet na RESTART and CALL US BACK pag di pa din ayos.

I would strongly recommend anybody thinking of dealing with this company to think again. The service is terrible. I pay more than 5000 peso per month and half the time the internet speed is slower than 2mbps, The customer service is non existent. If I call at night nobody answers ( yet they claim 24hr service.) Unfortunately no other internet company is allowed into my village, therefore it is a monopoly of sorts (portofino south) . The only choice I have is to move somewhere else. I always used to hate globe but in comparison to these guys they are angels!!

I applied for a net only plan since their offerings are unlimited. My village is unfortunately exclusive to planet and Globe. After taking to their marketing people during an activation in my village , I was convinced to switch. A few days later I follow up my site survey at the main office and was assured I was scheduled within the day. They also give me a bunch of numbers since sira daw hotline nila. I try messaging their fb page and all I get was a standard message “we are sorry of the inconvenience blah blah”. I think it’s been almost a month and still no survey. I called the number they gave me and walang sumasagot. They also seem to have deleted a thread in the fb page with all the complaints to hide their true identity. Think twice and thrice before even considering them

Another hoodlum company, we need companies that really compete; healthy for consumers and healthy for businesses, but unfortunate unknown in the Philippines
Dodong says:
Which infra are they piggybacking on? Copper or fiber? SLA, after sales support? Mahal padin yan mga dre, 19k for 100Mbps is still too expensive when comparing to similar services in SEA and APAC.
Jherwynne says:
I agree with Dodong. Like in PLDT, “Minimum speed of 256 Kbps & service reliability is 80%”
Dodong says:
Dapat sa mga telcos, magoffer din ng add in premium for higher level SLAs (i.e. may sasagot ng telepono kapag nagkaproblema ka, resolution within a x number of hours, etc.)
So rather than act like a condescending a**hole, add to the conversation. 19k for 100Mbps is too much.

SLA? nagpapatawa ka ba.
