PLDT has finally published the new speed upgrade across all of their Home DSL Family Plans starting with Plan 1995 which is now at 8Mbps an Plan 3000 which is bumped up to 15Mbps.
The new provisioning started as early as October and November of 2015 with incremental upgrades done in stages. Here’s a copy of the provisioning plan we obtained.
Earlier last week, we also discovered that our own subsription plan has been upgraded from the old 8Mbps to around 20Mbps (see story here).

abuzalzal says:
How about upstream speed sir? Same pa rin?
jhepoyskee says:
pag fibr line parallel. pag DSL kalahati ng Downspeed AFAIK
Mel says:
DSL technology has maximum speeds of 24/1.4 Mbps download/upload under ideal conditions (most users will get less). For faster speeds (especially uploads), you will need to use a fiber optic connection.
Kevin Ralph says:
Sa mga nag tatanong kung bakit may Home DSL plans under ng “Fibr” category, it po ang sagot diyan:
It’s the same plan as Home DSL Fam Plans but with different speed configuration due to the difference in technology used, mas mura kasi ang maintenance cost sa fiber at mas stable yung connection that’s why they can give higher speed at the same price. How to avail? These plans are called “Home DSL Plan Powered by Fibr”, take note of the Powered by Fibr moniker, these are different from the regular Fibr plans.
Gary Salvador says:
bakit di kasama 990? :(
vekou says:
oo nga, sana maging at least 1.5mbps man lang, kahit di na 2mbps.
Eric says:
Marketing segmentation eh. Napakabagal ng plan 990.
dothackjhe says:
Wala bang capping itong Home DSL at Fibr ng PLDT?
abuzalzal says:
Wala po.
Download to sawa yan.
mike says:
link to the story is not working po…
Freddie says:
how come mas bibilis yun plan 999 kesa sa 1299??????
LOL says:
Eric says:
999 doesn’t include the monthly service fee for landline.
iamotakuchan says:
XY says:
sana ang smart and globe mg.upgrade din.
abuzalzal says:
hold your horses people, the upgrade will be area dependent, once your area backbone is upgraded to more bandwidth you will be upgraded automatically but it takes time…
Yeng says:
Totoo ba yung 999 na fibr? 10 mbps? Covered kaya tondo area?
jhepoyskee says:
basta fibr powered yung line 10mbps na yan dapat or baka may official rollout.
PLDT TELPAD SCAM says:
Bim says:
This is bullshit. We’re on Speedster plan at 5mbps. We were called a few months ago telling us our plan was to be upgraded to 10mbps, but it’s still at 5mbps. So that table, where it says October 2015, is utter BULLSHIT.
Greg Go says:
I got a plan 3000 but speed is still at 8mbps… must be because the system in my area is outdated and cant handle anything more…
AJ Martinez says:
i have the 1299 plan, will this upgrade take effect automatically?
Gelo says:
paano kaming mga naka Plan 4000?10Mbps?
PLDT is supposed to waive the downgrade fee if we want the Plan 3000 dba?
Max says:
bakit po yun telpad plan 4100 is still the same 8.5mbps hindi po kasali sa upgrade yun telpad plans?
roiji says:
kawawa naman HOME DSL plan 4000…
Please double check yung FIBR table, may kasamang HOME DSL plans…
Kevin Ralph says:
I’m on a Fiber residence why I’m still on 3mbps >:(
jhepoyskee says:
per area po yung roll out afaik.
El Mer says:
Yes since January pa napansin ko net namin from 8mb to almost 20mb and speed, kala ko bug lang totoo na pala
IJ says:
Area-dependent pa ata yung speed upgrades for now.
dzandueta says:
Pardon, but…I’m rather confused re: the 999, 1995 and 3000 FIBR plans in the table here. I don’t see them in PLDT’s website under Fibr or DSL, so are those “legacy” plans or among the older ones offered back then?
I checked their site just now and see their Fiber Optic covers my area. Kinda tempting, but the skeptic in me says hold on.
Kevin Ralph says:
It’s the same plan as Home DSL Fam Plans but with different speed configuration due to the difference in technology used, mas mura kasi ang maintenance cost sa fiber at mas stable yung connection that’s why they can give higher speed at the same price. How to avail? Harlot says:
Dayana says:
Kapag po ba nag-apply for let’s say, plan 999 (3mbps) then ipapaconnect ng fiber optic cable, may dagdag bayad ba yun?
Japhet Joel Mananquil says:
Kelangan paba tawagan ang PLDT para ma upgrade ang 3mpbs to 5mbps ng existing subscriber or mag rerenew nanaman ng 24months na contract?
Dio Basconcillo (@axilomx) says:
Are there any updates on these planned DSL Plan Speed upgrades? It’s almost the end of February.
kepweng says:
totoo ba to. wala naman nagbago. march na bukas
Dio Basconcillo (@axilomx) says:
Nothing on the PLDT website about any changes yet. I guess it’s delayed.
ceejay says:
no speed bump yet… same speed.
kbw121 says:
No change in speed here @ plan 999 yet
? (@ne0genesis) says:
@yugatech, how reliable your articles are? Are these really came from PLDT? you haven’t even cared to update this posting since.
Evangeli0 says:
Unpossible! How can Yugatech article not reliable? Did you reads what written is not? It saying source came PLDT publishes. They cares for you and all audience.
LOL says:
still no speed upgrade for plan 999 :(
Porfirio Manuel Belgica III says:
On PLDT’s website, plan 999 is now 5 Mbps but after checking Speedtest I’m still getting 3Mbps download speed. Do I need to call them to get this upgrade?
Seether says:
Anyone already got the speed bump for Plan 999?
Fenries says:
Yeah i thought there will be also upgrade for us plan 999.
Nel says:
OMG, thats why im getting a 500-600kbps dl speed on torrent. cause of 3 to 5 mbps speed upgrade of pldt. Plan 999 (3mbps) subscriber here! on sta. ana manila area
Malate says:
Wala parin samin plan 999 upgrade. 3 mbps parin. Malate manila area :(
jeyan labra says:
wala ring 1299 upgrade.. sabi sa customer service hinde ako eligible.. and i’m subscribing at 1299. weird.
Roger says:
i have been living in a hole…5mbps na pala PLAN 999, speed parin namin hanggang ngayun is 1mbps :P
Ian Rand says:
Hello, just confirmed through speedtest that my PLDT DSL Fam Plan 1299 has increased to 3 MBPS. It used to be just 2 MBPS. I noticed this just today. FYI.
hckrs2k3 says:
According to PLDT its gradual. Some areas might experience the bump end of June.
