You can also call 171 for details or visit www.mypad.net. If you’re an existing myDSL subscriber, you’re excluded and there’s the automatic cut-off every four (4) hours for system maintenance (crap).
My phone line costs around Php750 a month so the dial-up fee boils down to less than Php100. This could really kill all those competitors and resellers.

PLDT Promised to give better service to all PLDT subscriber including 1 Yr UNLIMITED NDD calling and unlimited internet for package deal of 888 php and I got fooled with that advertisement after I already signed the 2 year contract and I verify it to the customer service rep. She ( pertaining to the cust. serv) explained that it was misunderstanding between customers and the Ads that The NDD calling is only for the 999 php subscriber and not for the 888 subs.The Ad said 88 kbps and I always get connected to 52 kbps. How can keep there customers if they don’t even keep there words? I’ve already reported this matter to PLDT and never get words from them…

You can accelerate your connection by clicking dialup security setting to only accept 128 bit encryption. This accelerated my connection to not less than 40k bps and up to a maximum of 46k, which I think is not bad for a cheap dialup connection. I also use TCP iptimizer to find my fastest connection. By the way I am using Windows ME
try nyo gumamit ng ibang internet explorer, like mozilla firefox, kase ako pldt gamit ko naka 840 a month 31.2kbps pero mas mabilis and connection ko… tapos mag download na lang kayo ng download accelerator kung gusto nyong mapabilis ang pag dodownload niyo… DAP8 free naman e…

Dial-up will never be that any good,it is synonymous to poor connection and snail-pace download speed.
Marami kasing kapit na maimpluwensiyang tao yang may-ari ng PLDT/SMART kaya ‘di sila matinag-tinag.
hey guys this sucks! just a question, when using prepaid pldt vibe what is the real ISP address where i will be connected?
I have Vibe Super Saver plan and in the beginning it was realy ok, speed 49.9 kbps and fast dial-up. The last few weeks its sucks…..speed 4…..9.6kbps, you can not open 1 webpage. Then I call to 171, listining to the music in the tel. Then they tell me that I must call 173, after a very long time, the person there tell me that I must call 172. Then……there the say me to call 171 again……ans so they keep me busy hole day…..good service hé!!!!!!and fast hé!!!!!!
When I pay my bill a few days to late, then they are very fast to send you a note for disconnection, thats the only service that good works in the biggest telcom. in the Philippines.

In fairness to PLDT, my line has been mostly ok for the last month or two since the last major outage. I haven’t used Vibe much in that time, so I’m not sure if it’s improved in getting a connection or not. I used it once last week and it took a few minutes before I got a working connection.
With the PLDT line the highest speed I can get is 31.2kbps, but with the competitors line I can connect at 40kbps-50kbps. It may just be that the PLDT equipment in my neighborhood is older, I don’t know. I hope they can improve there service in the future.
PLDT sana maayos nyo naman ung service nyo dahil nag babayad kami…. ang sabi nyo mag mabilis ang VIBE plan kaysa ibang ISP pero bakt ganito nang yaayri mas mabils pa ang BL@ST, Surfmax…. nsasayang 750 na binabayad namn…. panu ba paputol ung VIBE plan… ??? asar naman!!!!!!
such a shame! isn’t pldt is the flag-carrier telco in the phils… how come they can’t provide additional dial-up lines? if their problem is line scarcity. they better stop marketing this service or better yet, CLOSE SHOP!

I had too many problems with PLDT, both with the phone line and the Vibe dial-up service. The phone line will be dead for so many days, with PLDT unable to fix it, and when they finally do fix it, too many problems with Vibe. During peak times, I have to redial over and over to get a working connection.
Forget that, I installed another phone line with a competitor and I’m subscribing to mozcom now, even if it’s more expensive. Unfortunately I’m still stuck paying PLDT because of a lock-in. Funny, they first got us to sign the lock-in contract because they promised they could install DSL no problem, but after they had us the story changed.
PLDT vibe dial up always busy. Hirap mag connect. Kapag naka-connect na, hindi ka naman makapag browse dahil sa bagal. Sabi nga ng mga kakilala, kaya ganyan dahil MURA! Sana naman ang comment hindi ganyan, mas maganda sana ang comment, mura na mabilis pa at sulit bayad mo :) If PLDT offers another scheme like this again, sana kaya nilang panindigan.
Dial up number always busy…meron bang ibang dial up numbers??? Kapag naka connect naman, hindi ka makapag-browse. Sabi nga nila..mura kasi kaya hindi maganda ang service? Dapat ba ganyan ang comment, di kaya mas maganda ang comment na, mura na sulit pa. If PLDT’s offering this kind of scheme, sana kaya nilang panindigan :)

Been locked up using Vibe for a year now.. POOR POOR SERVICE! If i can go bigger spelling POOR.. i would! Cuz i really MEAN POOR!!! WTF, the fastest speed i get is 19.2kbps! Mas mabilis pa ata ang kuto maglakad pag pinalakad mo sa lupa! Tinubuan na ng amag mata ko sa kahihintay mag-aapear ng mga sites e wla pa rin.. mas masarap pang matulog nlng ako bwahahaha.. sana ginawa nlng Plan 1 php.. yun masasabi ko pang worth it! Pde bang mag mura? Hahaha
Pano ba mag-unsubscribe? I would love to try DSL but with all the negative feedbacks ive read from these blogs im having second thoughts. Is there any ISP that you guys would recommend? What if i subscribe to GLOBELines Broadband? DO i need to have Globelines landland account?

PLDT, make a better service for us! I mean i pay on time not even any overdue balance for the past couple of years. I have been an avid subscriber but why this service? still have not received any feedback re PLDT vibe outgoing mail server. If no one can provide me with PLDT’s smtp, can you just tell me how I can solve the predicament I am in. I really would like to use the e-mail address that I have been using on Outlook Express and I dont want to use my Yahoo email address just to send out e-mails. Thanks for any help you can give.
Does any of you know PLDT Vibes’ outgoing mailserver? I subscribed to the php 840 promo but I cannot send out mails using my outlook express account. Dapat PLDT should inform subscribers about this restriction.

pldt vibe, if you are a frequent internet user, will not give you the edge you need to surf right. there are times when you are connected to their remote server but you can’t still access the internet for some unknown reason. there are also times when the connection speed registers 45 0r 46 kbps but you’re viewing web pages at a mere 10-24 kbps. i think guys from the pldt should really address this problem to have more satisfied customers.

Lately it’s been better for me. I’ve almost always been able to get a connection the last few weeks now. Unfortunately, after they seemed to fix the internet problem, my PLDT phone line has started periodically going dead again :( Mostly at night, though, thankfully.
am a pldt subscriber unlimited and at first it was very ok but lately i was wondering why i cant access starting yesterday morning and it made me mad ive tried to access few times but still wont let me. damn it !!!
i agree with jen & wanghowun. always disconnected in a matter of minutes. sometimes other prepaid card is much faster than this one. hope that they could come up with a better service.

i actually just got mine activated last week… nakatawag pa ako sa customer support for the password.. haven’t tried calling them again, though.
I have PLDT’s previous promo, Vibe unlimited for P440/month with a P200/month discount on the phone line (so the discounted cost is basically P240/month). I got this last fall, and it was mostly fine, apart from some phone line problems, which seem to be fixed now.
But the last few weeks have been absolutely horrible. I’m rarely ever able to connect. It will redial all day long, and maybe sometime during the day it will connect long enough to check my email or news headlines.
We try calling tech support, but can’t get through to anyone. What’s going on? I tried a vibe prepaid card I still had, too (different access #) and it had the same problem.
yes wanghowun, even it’s cheap its not worth it because we’re always disconnected in a matter of minutes and their bandwidth is too slow. Connecting to pldt vSS is my worst expirience since 1997.
About their customer service its too hard to contact their always busy maybe because their service is suck thats why too many client calls them.
About their telephone I’m always losing my signal and it gives me a very loud and noisy sound that makes me angry any time I’m using my telephone and internet because on internet I’m always disconnected.
If they give me chance to rate their service from 1-10, I will give them 0 because their service is suck. That is to be honest and for them to know that we’re not satisfied on what’s happening to their service, I hope they can fix it ASAP for us to be greatfull to them.
I subcribe on the super saver line last feb, at first the service was ok, but i notice that its a little bit slower than my isp prepaid card but for me its ok cause of the cheap price. Now the service really sucks, now i can’t connect and if i get connected i get disconnected in a matter of minutes and I notice that its even slower now than before. Right now their service is not worth it even for the cheap price. I can’t even call their technical service assistance, maybe there are to many people calling them who wants to complain about their services.
i really hate their service, they only give us 26Kbps bandwidth and when u download its only give you maximum of 2.6K per second. TULOG KA NA DI PA NAG OOPEN UNG WEBSITE na may flash. ASARRRRRRRR
Guys, b4 i subscribe to pldt vibe i really like PLDT because i thought that their service is really good and the best BUT U KNOW GUYS, after i subscribe to them I REALLY REALLY HATED them. I subscribe to pldt vine because i want to play KHAN online BUT because of SUPER BAGAL of connection that they given to us i cant even LOGON to the GAME.
KHAN ONLINE need 56KBPS internet connection. Thay why i subscribe to pldt vibe because KHAN ONLINE is powered by PLDT vibe.
kung pwede lang magsalita d2 ng masasamang salita lahat na siguro ng masamang salita sasabihin ko sa kanila para malaman nilang hindi makatao ung binibigay nilang bandwidth, sayang Php 840 ko monthly hindi ko magamit internet ko, AT tung landline di ko naman talaga kailangan ito dahil internet lang talaga habol ko.
Sa PLDT sana po iayos nyo po service nyo dahil feeling ko ngayon manloloko kayo dahil hindi ko aakalain may meron pa pala ngayong service na 26KBPS max. asar na asar na po ako d2. sana po bigyan nyo po kami ng tamang bandwidth dahil nagbabayad naman po kami ng tama.
Sana po mapaganda nyo po ulit pag tingin ko sa inyo.
Connection is too damn slow, i can’t even visit their(pldt) own website using their own service. Too Bad :(
And every 12 midnight, i use another isp for faster connection(Free access 12 – 8) . I really regret i subscribed.

This promo is similar to your regular PLDT Vibe. They just named it something else for marketing purposes. This is the same thing, basically.
The 4-hour auto-disconnection basically allows you to get online for 4 straight hours, then the connection is cut off, but you will need to re-dial again to connect back. It should take just a couple of minutes.
Nationwide roaming is a feature that allows you to connect to PLDT Vibe using your access codes from anywhere in the Philippines. This is not allowed though as it could be prone to multiple users from different provinces using the same PLDT account.

It means that you can’t use an ISP account based in Metro Manila from say Cavite. If you do that, you will be charged with the NDD rates.

And it also reminds you to take a little break from surfing.
But if you’re really that heavy an Internet-user, then you’re better off going for DSL. The time saved more than justifies the added cost.
The 4 hour cut-off interval gives way for other subscibers to be able to connect to them. Call it standing room or overselling.
