what happens if you reach the cap?
psacnhez says:
Either your speed gets capped like tattoo, or you get billed for excess bandwith use.
Lezuric says:
no thanks!
Enya says:
So most of the time naka H o H+ pa rin connection mo so lugi ka. Kalokohan to! At isa ako sa mga naloko!
lolwut says:
LTE with 5Gb data cap? That’s stupid, it’s like a cup of water in a very big “timba”. Sayang ang LTE kung ganyan kababa ang cap, and for 1.3k? I’d rather have DSL.
Nice promotion Smart Telecoms, but honestly, it’s stupid.
RedSimba says:
Need more gas?(insert amt here) Php / liter
emansky says:
can’t wait for Globe to roll out their LTE at least yung current 3G nila na plan pwede to agad sa LTE yey!
ace says:
What a useless plan this is.
Marc says:
Walang kwentang plan!!! What a joke!
edwin says:
Hi Enya,
Read your message :)
NakaXperia V din ako from Smart.
About dun sa nagiging H or H+, set your mobile networking setting to LTE ONLY.. Wla xa mismo sa Mobile Network Settings…
You need to choose, WCDMA only. Then, go to Phone, dial *#*#4636#*#* then chosee PHONE INFO, then choose LTE ONLY dun sa drop down menu sa SET PREFERRED NETWORK..)
Hope this helps.
Enya says:
Taga san po kayo? Kasi never pa ko naka 17mbps. Kahit sa Ayala, Shangrila Mall, or Ortigas. Pinakamataas kung nakuha ay 7mbps sa Jump Megamall.
Edwin says:
I’m from Makati… Alam mo ung flyover dun sa Kalayaan, Pitogo specifically, dun kasi parati way ko papuntang office, dun … naka 17mbps ako :)
jozef says:
pretty weird or mahina lang talaga ang smart..
i always get around 3-6mbps using my Huawei E3551 take note H+ lang un on Globe Prepaid… lol
Edwin says:
Sorry, Choose WCDMA/GSM :)
Edwin says:
Sorry, nagmukhan spam na tuloy… Set mo muna WCDMA/GSM un network bago lahat.. Then follow mo na un instructions about sa pag SET ng LTE only..
Enya says:
Hi Edwin thanx sa trick. It worked!
Edwin says:
Hehe :) enjoy LTE hehe :)
Lezure2010 says:
LTE speeds are ridiculously useless when you have caps. They should make it unlimited, and then just lower the maximum speeds per plan. The highest plans get the highest speeds and the lowest plans get the lowest ones.
Or they could come up with some kind of anti bill shock on top of the plan so that it becomes unlimited when they reach a certain amount. This way those who keep on saying that they just need fast speeds but won’t be able to expend the whole 5GB a month can do so. And those who want to download stuff can also do as they please albeit with a higher payment.
psycotrompus says:
WTF!!! Stupid promotion! There’s no such thing as unlimited these days! LTE speeds here are just some marketing term for 42Mbps, which actually is just HSUPA! And that cap is just nonsense when they’re saying it unlimited!!!
booboo says:
In marketing, it is called “sachet marketing”.
meh says:
5GB cap are they insane? Thats about 1 week worth of LTE if that.
I’m staying far away from this LTE until they can become more reasonable
DTech says:
2 days lang para sa akin yan or maybe just for a day! I got my iPhone 5 from globe just this 7th of January. After a week of data connectivity, I’ve already downloaded 24gbs of data unaware. That’s with the use of their HSPA+ network, since LTE is not yet enabled. I get up to 7mbps speed, which is quite worthy of just 999 a month charge.
Felt sorry for smart, for sure they will hardly find not so smart customers these days.
DTech says:
Not smart at all…
Dream on…
marketing says:
I have yet to see an honest to goodness public utility service in the PH, yung sulit sa binabayaran mong serbisyo.mproblema kasi kita muna ang iniisip at bahala na si batman sa mga customers
LoLz says:
andy says:
andy says:
Im on plan lte 1500 with free experia V, di ko alam na i will be charged regular data rate after maubos ko yun 1.5G cap. Sana nagglobe na lang ako. I asked Wireless center kung pede ko gawin unlidata plan, they refused. Hais, 24 lockin period pa naman, any advise?
Andy says:
Talaga? LTE PLAN din ako pero di naman ako nacharge ng per minute. sobra na ako sa 3 GB or more pa, kasi last time nasa 2.5 GB na nagamit ko. And take note po, unlimited ang LTE PLAN til january 31… Check mo baka naman tumatawag ka or something…saka, if bago pa plan mo, malamang prorated charge un… Di pa un ung actual bill… Unless generated na un bill mo
