Smart has just announced that they wil release the iPhone 4S in the Philippines on December 16, 2011 and starts accepting “registration of interests” for the device today.
Again, all we have right now from Smart is the date and the email alert form here. No pricing plan or prepaid kit prices were revealed.

Globe called today, I was offered 33K for the 32gb at plan 499
Peebee says:
Globe  called me  today offering the iphone 4s  and telling me i am qualified (does this mean  approved) for the retention program  and that i can get the iphone 4s  The 16gb white model.  Its at 25100 cash out plus p999/mo unlimited surfing. They invited me to the launch on dec16 i can get it na daw that day.  Sabi nya lang i need to pay my unpaid dues before the 16th eh may pending rebate pa ako na nasa 3k from them. He will call me again tomorrow  to confirm kasi hindi ko sya sinagot kung iaavail ko yung retention. Â
Then today a few hours after, smart called me inviting me to the iphone 4s launch party on dec 15.  Yes its thursday the party is at dec 15  10pm-4am. The rep has no idea on pricing but said if i prefer to pay in credit card i can get the unit  on the event itself. If cash then i can get it in any smart wireless center but date is unknown.Â
Question is, which one should i get?Â

SMART SUCKS BIG TIME with their customer service! They dont know how to handle existing accounts, they don’t even care if you’re interested with their service. just spend your money somewhere else!
ahuh says:
yeahgirl, I think there is a difference between disappointment and bitterness. :) hahaha
yeahgirl says:
yeahmen, maybe ur application has been disapproved… that’s why ur bitter
yeahmen says:
Correct! Just just like what happened to my Galaxy Note application. They treat us customers as if we’re the ones getting paid for the service.
CHEAP SERVICE to that MAX! Your Facebook Page should say SMART DOESNT CARE (not Smart Cares!)

so i heard the rumored pricing of iPhone 4S for Sun Cellular. Plan 999 call & surf unlimited. cash out would be 21,990 for 16GB, 26,990 32GB 31,990 for 64GB.
Gian says:
Oh, so both Globe and Smart have rights to the iPhone na pala. Hopefully, prices will be more competitive this time.
Max says:
Max says:
pati paggamit ng yahoo messenger may additional charge din? pakiconfirm din po Thank you. i haven’t receive my bill yet kaya kakatakot its just my 1st month and hindi ko alam mga limitations na ganyan =(

In the end, both Smart and Globe postpaid suck.

Beejay says:
I am a Globe Postpaid Subscriber and Globe Customer Service is far better than Smart. Why? My wi-fi at home is Smart. Yes, connection is 95% fast but the Customer Service Rep in both phones and Retail Stores has poor customer service skills.
arnold says:
Mike’s right. Buying into sun cellular wont help beef up their profitability in the post-paid segment either…it’s full of “cheapskates”. But it was a good move since sun cellular was just messing up the market.
Mike says:
Majority of high end subscribers are already with Globe and since Smart focused on prepaid, they’ve got low end subscribers who can’t afford the Iphone 4s.

Kyle says:
Meh. I’d take a working and fast service over “courteous” staff. I prefer Smart/PLDT’s quality of service over Globe, any bloody day. Globe’s staff is indeed more well-oriented for customer service… but WOW! The actual service itself is comparatively bad.
I haven’t been to my nearest Smart or PLDT in what’s been like forever regarding any problem. Only been going to Smart recently regarding my upcoming retention plan. Been itching to get that Sensation XE @ Plan 2000 Unli-data.
P.S. What I hate about Globe the most: data connection. Not only do they cap… but they also cull peer-to-peer bandwidth. Oh lord. And the back-up connection at my dad’s office at AIRBUS is screwed up — and it’s Globe ffs.

Way way better, yan ang dinadasal ko na magkaroon dito or sa singapore.
cocolumboy says:
ill better wait for iphone5, by then tapos na contract ko, retention na ulit!!!!
rorafu says:
you can never never rely with smart customer service… they have never find solution with my concern for the simple “REWARDS” promo… urgh!
marc says:
ALL-IN yun. :-)
H says:
I will never get another smart line ever. Nakuha ko na pinareserve ko na N9 pero iwaited 4 hours na makuha ang fone after submitting the requirements. I should have backed out. Iisa lang ang naka assigned sa sales. Lousy.
can someone enlighten me i chose the unli data plan 2000 but smart made me signed that push mail is charged addtl P10 every 30 mins. So currently all my push notifications are deactivated. Mahirap na.
ganun din ba sa globe?
H says:
guess i have to wait after 2 years.
edu says:
So no worry ang unli Data plan ng Globe.!

Knowing Smart?
says_who says:
The same situation happened to me. Went to The Podium for the Galaxy Note Selling Event. I was told by that sales rep and her manager (take note!) that I can claim the unit the following day and that my application has been approved already. When I went to SMART CENTER MEGAMALL in 2 different occasions, I was informed by 2 sales reps that my application hasn’t been approved yet and that they couldnt release the unit as they were still evaluating my application. To my dismay, I cancelled my application and walked out of the place. What a service they have there!
tototo says:
jips says:
I have always been a loyal smart subscriber until just recently I met the Worst Customer Service Rep from Smart. I went to their service center and explained that Smart called me and told me my Galaxy Note will arrive that day, they checked and the unit arrived already and was reserved for me,I also submitted my requirements 2 weeks prior to that day and was told that they approved my application but still they cant give me my unit and no one bothered to explain why , they just told me to wait for their call.. I’m cancelling my application also..
jfaw says:
I totally agree. Smart reps called me twice that I can get ung pinareserve ko na galaxy note last Nov 26 and starting Dec 1-15 daw (went today to smart sm cebu), on my 2 visits sales rep told me that they have not receive any galaxy note as per checking their inventory. My application has been approved daw already but ung unit na lang ang kulang. I’ll just cancel my application if wala pa rin next weekend ang unit. tsk tsk tsk!!! Too bad.
orange senorita says:
Do you have any clue how much it’s going to cost if they only sell the unit? Thanks!
technobaboy says:
we should expect pricing to be a little competitive
jonaflormicfren says:
Globe and Smart have it, they only differ in service.
