Anybody else on umobile having connection problems with Globe? Got my umobile SIM a couple days ago but never bothered using it until last night after finding out the’ve got some nice numbers — mine’s 0999-3000-xyy.
However, SMS and calls from Globe numbers would not some thru. A friend who’s using Globe tells me her SMS to my number got stuck in the Outbox.
A phone call would not go thru either — “your number cannot be completed as dialed” error or something.
SMS and phone calls from a Smart mobile number are working fine though. Anybody else experiencing the same network problems?
Update: Here’s an update from umobile:
“This is to inform you that interconnection of umobile with Globe and Sun networks are still limtied. You can still call your friends in Globe or Sun but they won’t be able to call you just yet. umobile will keep you posted once interconnection is available.“
okay weird…
SMS and Call from umobile to Globe do not work contrary to what umobile (as quoted above) said.
How do we get invites sa umobile? Do they still give them out?
I think we should make a petition against globe and sun!
agreeing with La Ciudadista – giving the upper hand to the big telcos gives consumers limited choice.
im very interested for the 10 invites yuga still have….sana manalo nako this time…..
opo, i also get some chikka messages upto two hours delayed on my fon. (smart)
btw abe, it Would be great if you can give me an ümobile invitation. I want to try it out too.
thanks a lot
i tried dialing my sun cellular number and it shows a private number :D
The NTC should step in and should enforce full interconnection to all telcos. Its really anti-consumer if new telcos have to negotiate interconnection with existing telcos.
invites pls. thanks Abe.
Invite please? hehe :p
Actually Abe, you may want to test and post about Globe-Chikka problems. For almost 2 weeks, messages from Chikka to Globe are not getting through.
Lyle, their invite system is also down. :( Still got 10 invite free to give away.
Hook me up with an invite and I’ll help you figure out interconnectivity issues. ;)
