Yup, all 3 of them are down.
1) PLDT myDSL is down — no conneciton since 10PM last night. NO dial tone on the phone lines as well.
2) Smart Bro is down — slower than a slug since last night. Only 3 out of 20 pings get a response. You’re lucky if you could load Google’s homepage.
3) Smart GPRS is down — cannot connect to the network daw.
Now, what are the odds of that?
All other phone lines in the area not working as well. Thanks to Airborne Access, I think I’ll be here at the Bluewave all day.

that happened to two of my ISPS . Destiny was down and so with Smart Bro. eeks, smart bro is really slow right now. Lucky you have airborne access. There’s free wifi at the Shell station near the house
kid says:
it’s quite possible in your case since all three seem to be under the same data network ;)

Four letters. Starts with a P, ends with a T.
Dave Starr says:
A good example of one of the real hidden weaknesses of the Internet. So many different services and yet they always run through just a few critical choke points … and most of the providers that ‘Net users deal with don’t even know where the chokes are. In the Philippines, yes PLDT (Ma Bell’s orphaned stepchild) if often the guilty party, in the US, AT&T (Ma Bell’s ghost) owns a huge percentage of all the wires, fibers and microwave towers, still. You may contract with company X, or with company Y, but it all goes through the “Big Guy’s” pipes somewhere … and in many cases no one knows for sure.
We’ll never have the ‘Net we need, in any country, until the infrastructure is adequately disclosed, mapped and alt-routed.
JP Loh says:
PLDT’s DNS has been up and down lately. I think I found a stable DNS server.
Try 58.69.254.133. I can’t wait for Globelines to setup the connection to our place so I can dump PLDT already.

Huh, at least I’m not alone in my recent Net connection woes. I’m using Sky DSL and lately it’s been really wonky. It works okay for an hour and then everything just starts crawling till nothing would load anymore. And then when I try to reconnect, it takes me many many tries before I get online again. Aargh.

You name all you want of ISP’s:
Airborne Access – subsidiary of PLDT
Smart Communication – subsidiary of PLDT
The most important get a plan that has a high CIR.
Innove or Globe really sucks.
