Asus’ new LCD monitors are getting slim and stylish, starting with the MS series. We got this 23.6-inch Asus MS236 LCD monitor to test out and play with.
It’s so slim at just 16.5mm and wighs only under 4kg. It’s got a glossy, piano-black bezel and instead of the usual wine-glass type of stand, this one uses a unique ring-stand at the back panel.
The LCD monitor is capable of full HD 1080p resolution (1920×1080 pixels) and hooks up via an HDMI port or VGA port at the back. Dynamic contrast ratio maxes out at just 50,000:1 but it’s got a 2ms response rate which is also pretty good for video games. I also like that Asus used a power adaptor similar to those of their netbooks/laptops and not the old, bulky ones.
I’m not sure about the pricing but I remember it right, the price is in the vicinity of Php13,990.

Capzter, actually the MS236 was launched last September but was just launched this March locally. ASUS was first to release this design. :)

MS236H has a transparent stopper for the ring stand to prevent it from over tilting.

jpzante is correct. and this monitor needs a full width of table to stand up. unlike the design with legs. safety wise this is not a good buy. be careful also while busy on keyboard.

drawback of slim and light? poor stability! slow movement or strong wind driving the curtain, or kaya masagi lang ang mesa, goodbye lcd.

Ung LG E2350V looks like mas mura. Saw it from the other user that he got it with 10.2k PHP.

If you guys are looking for mega contrast ratios, say 5,000,000:1, instead of 50,000:1 (like the one above), go for OLED monitors like LG’s E2350V

This one’s not a LED Monitor. But it sure does look good.
The ring stand isn’t actually unique. LG and AOC have sported these type of stands with their latest LED/LCD monitors, which were released a few weeks back.
