LG Electronics is introducing their new lineup of SUPER UHD TVs with Nano Cell technology at the CES 2017 opening this week in Las Vegas.
The LG SUPER UHD TVs comes three models (SJ9500, SJ8500 and SJ8000) with the SJ9500 sporting a 55-inch screen and measures 6.9mm at its thinnest point. These TVs feature Nano Cell technology which allows them to render realistic images with highly nuanced, accurate colors and wide viewing angles.
According to LG, the TVs were able to achieve such quality thanks to the Nano Cell’s ability to absorb surplus light wavelengths to filter distinct colors with better precision. In other words, colors won’t blend with other color wavelengths which often results to color fading.
Other features include Active HDR with Dolby Vision, ULTRA Luminance, BT.2020 support, ability to render 1 billion possible colors, and runs webOS 3.5.
