Samsung has unveiled its first gaming monitor, the Odyssey OLED G8 (model name: G85SB), at the IFA 2022 in Berlin, Germany.
Its key features are its ‘ultra-thin’ form factor, QHD 32-inch display, a ‘lightning-quick’ 0.1ms response time, and 175Hz refresh rate.
The curved monitor has a 21:9 aspect ratio and supports AMD FreeSync Premium to get rid of those screen tearing and provide smooth gameplay.
At its back we have some gaming aesthetics going on, just like its predecessors, it has the upgraded CoreSync and Core Lighting+ that matches to the colors on-screen.
Furthermore, it is equipped with Micro HDMI (2.1), Mini DP (1.4) and USB-C ports for connectivity, as well as a 5W stereo speaker.
The Odyssey OLED G8 also comes with Samsung Gaming Hub1 that allows users to play games via Xbox, NVIDIA GeForce Now, or Google Stadia and it can be also used for movie streaming through Samsung Smart Hub.
Samsung says that the Odyssey OLED G8 will become globally available in late 2022.
