Samsung has new displays for your PC but this one got our attention in an instant.
The Samsung CHG90 is the widest curved monitor on the market. It measures 49-inches diagonally, has an aspect ratio of 32:9 with a max resolution of 3840 x 1080 pixels. It’s like having two 16:9 1080p monitors glued together. Just imagine the wide space it needs on a desk.
Apart from physical attributes of the display, the CHG90 also packs Samsung’s QLED Quantum Dot technology and supports the HDR10 standard. It also works with AMD’s FreeSync 2 offering a 1-millisecond response time and a 144Hz refresh rate.
For connectivity, the CHG90 has a DisplayPort, a Mini DisplayPort, two HDMI ports, and three USB 3.0 ports.
The monitor doesn’t come cheap at USD1,499 (~Php75k). Two smaller cousins are available too — the CHG70 with a 32-inch model priced at USD699 (~Php35k) and a 27-inch at USD599 (~Php30k).
