Samsung has officially unveiled today its newest Smart Monitor M8 sporting a 32-inch flat display UHD 4K 3,840 x 2,160 resolution with a magnetic and removable ‘SlimFit’ camera.
Samsung Smart Monitor M8 sports a flat display with slim frame and borderless design with the usual TV aspect ratio of 16:9. With HDR 10+ support, 400 nits (typical) brightness, and 99% (typical) sRGB coverage.
It has a variety of color options like Warm White, Sunset Pink, Daylight Blue, Spring Green resembling the 24-inch iMac released in 2021.
For its ports, it has a two USB Type-C that triples as display connection, up to 65W charging, and data transfer. A micro-HDMI port, Bluetooth 4.2, and Wi-Fi 5.
This smart monitor runs Tizen—the same operating system used on other Samsung TVs that allows it to be used as a standalone television without connecting a PC or game console. Thus, it comes with a handful of preloaded apps such as Netflix, Apple TV, YouTube, and Samsung TV Plus. There is an infrared remote for maneuvering its TV mode and a stand included in the box.
The M8 adds to the Smart Monitor series following the release of M7 and M5 last year.
