Xiaomi not only took the wraps off of their latest Redmi Note smartphones, they also announced a new LED TV. Meet the Mi LED TV 4, touted as the world’s thinnest LED TV.
The Mi LED TV 4, or Mi TV 4 for short, is a Smart TV encased in a 4.9mm Ultra-thin almost bezel-less frame. The TV features a 55-inch 4K UHD HDR 10 display @ 3840 x 2160 resolution with Xiaomi’s very won PatchWall OS. Powering the device is a 64-bit quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and 8GB of storage. The TV also comes with Dolby Audio and DTS-HD sound.
To operate the TV, users are given a minimalistic remote control with just 11 buttons, which Xiaomi claims is enough to access everything including installing your set-top box. Indian users are given a whopping 500,000+ hours of free streaming content from various providers that Xiaomi partnered up with.
As for I/O and connectivity, we have 3x HDMI ports, 2x USB ports, an ethernet port, WiFi, and Bluetooth 4.0. Other than that there is also a separate IR dongle, conveniently name Mi IR Cable, that company will sell separately.
The Mi LED TV 4 is priced at Rs 39,999 (~Php 32,461) and will be on sale exclusively at Flipkart, Mi.com, and Mi Home on February 22. Early buyers will also get free 3 months subscription to Sony Live and Hungama Play, a Mi IR Cable, and waived installation fees.
I couldn’t grab it from the first sale but my friend got this. This TV is really a worth paying 40K.
