The Department of Education (DepEd) Taguig-Pateros division announces the launch of the online anti-bullying Facebook page.
In this website, the children can freely report any incident that involves cyber bullying. The page’s name is DepEd TaPat E-SABAC and Dr. George Tizon, DepEd Taguig-Pateros administrator, explains its main purpose:
“So ang balak po namin dito, kapag nadoon sila sa internet at merong bata na nabubully, it will make them easier for them to access. Kukunin niya ang information doon sa nabu-bully at ipapaalam niya kung ano ang naba-violate niya and basically she will be reminded,” Tizon said.
This new movement is pushed to further minimize bullying (whether online or offline) in the Philippines. The name TaPat E-SABAC stands for Taguig-Pateros Electronic Students’ Anti-Bullying Action Center.
