Late last month, Globe Telecom granted all of their subscribers (Postpaid and Prepaid) free access to Facebook. Although a great service it may not always appeal to everyone especially to those who are subscribed to unlimited data. So if you want to opt out, here’s how you can do it.
1. Dial *143# on your phone’s dialer then press send
2. Choose number 2 (FreeFB)
3. Choose 4 (Stop)
4. You will then receive an SMS with a link provided, click it
5. Click Stop Using Facebook for Free on Globe
And that’s it! You will again receive an SMS confirming that you’ve successfully unsubscribed to the free service. You will no longer get the “Leaving Facebook” notification whenever you click on links that will lead outside Facebook.
You may resubscribe to Free Facebook by visiting m.facebook.com/free for FREE on Globe Network. Promo is valid until January 25, 2014.
Thanks @EasondeGuzman for the tip.

Jo says:
Mabagal kasi magbukas ng links pag naka ganun, imbes na bukas agad browser mag load pa promo suggestions. That is just based on my experience sa nexus 4 kaya dinisable ko, naka 1k mb data naman ako every month, okay na mabawasan data kasi pampatagal yung promo suggestions
Diorarat says:
Thanks sa info. Try ko nga disable.

suplado says:
Sir Abe,
Would you know why this promo is not available for Blackberry?
bbuser says:
blackberries use a different server, usually through the BIS. the BIS uses a different structure from the regular server, thus, it does not go through the free FB.
Glen says:
Did you actually try this?
I received a SMS from Globe and clicked the link. I don’t see “Stop Using Free FB” anywhere on the page.
Louie Diangson says:
Hi Glen, yes, did try it. It should redirect you to the mobile Facebook page. The Stop Using Free FB should appear above your Timeline.
Glen says:
Thanks for that answer.
It wasn’t showing “stop using Free FB” before now its okay..
Thanks!
Paulo says:
Still did not see the Stop using Free/FB
Ryan says:
I dont know if its a coincidence or what but im having slower connection in my area esp in peak hrs. OMG globe! ayusin nyo muna connection nyo bago kau mamigay ng free.
wew says:
cguro dahil sa dami ng users na sinusulit ang free fb kaya nagkakaganito hahaha ganun talaga lol

Exactly my point here: http://deuts.org/post/65983845306/the-facts-about-globes-free-facebook-promo
John says:
I must agree with Ryan, simula ng nag-start ang Free Facebook promo, sumobra ang bagal ng mobile browsing using Globe. Oh well, sana maayos nila. Di naman masama magbigay ng libre, yun nga lang, dapat wala din mawawalan. :)
deuts says:
Yan din ang sinabi ko sa blog post ko dito: http://deuts.net/2013/11/the-facts-about-globes-free-facebook-promo/
max says:
gagamitin ko sana kaso nung nabasa ko itong disclaimer:
“Globe Telecom will have access to your name, age, gender, relationship status, education history and pages you like and will share your phone number, load balance and promo balance with Facebook”
the cost of free FB i guess.
AD says:
I see this option too even if i did not subscribe. Did globe roll this out to all subscribers even to those with unli data plans?
drake says:
When I click on the link http://m.facebook.com/free it gives me the page https://freefacebook.thismoment.com which does not have the link that says Stop Using Facebook for Free on Globe mentioned on the text message. Anyone knows why?
Rona says:
Wifi must be turned off before you click on the link that was provided on the text message. It will direct you to a page (not the https://freefacebook.thismoment.com), where you can click on the STOP at the end of the message.
Shinbi says:
Im getting the same response. It always take me to https://freefacebook.thismoment.com. FYI: WiFi is turned on. Tried many time but no luck.
Adrian says:
How do you exactly do this on a Nexus 7 2012? :(
Edgar says:
I tried to unsubscribe “free facebook”.
But I could see only this.
“Sorry, something went wrong
Please try closing and re-opening your browser window.”
Could you help me?

roxy says:
Please help me m.facebook.com/free is not working! I do not see Stop Free data anywhere on the screen
Jojo says:
Same! No option to turn it off after you logged in to the given link. Globe agent told me that it should be found on the bottom of the screen/page. But there’s none!
jess says:

Kly says:
You can’t stop the promo, but when your fb1d promo is finished and it hasn’t been 1 day yet, you can register to a different promo.
